Good timing, I just finished watching the prologue of Clear Skies last night.
I assume it's going to be an engi ship with a sci focus based on the description in the show?
Hmm. Is it basically using the new Tribble Sovereign material to get that saucer look? That would be interesting.
I noticed that on Tribble, the new Sovereign material is what actually colors the deflector. Before, it was always that the Sovereign model deflector ignored the usual material colors for its deflector, because they didn't have a material that would replicate the canonical look. Since the Galaxy class can now also use the Sovereign material on Tribble, it means you can also get a Sovereign style deflector for the Galaxy.

I really like this design, I'll have to play around with it in the customization tool but looking at that picture I'm currently thinking of going with:
Saucer: Ross Neck: Galaxy Secondary Hull: Ross Pylons: Galaxy Nacelles: Monarch
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I certainly liked seeing a bit more modernized Galaxy Variant, especially since it was produced after the Sovereign. On another note I should say I mostly really liked the new Allied Battlecruiser by Thomas Marone, a few would have liked seeing a more voyager shaped saucer, or smaller version of the Tactical Oddysey; still both ships are in fact very nice!

My primary gripe with the Kitomer is the length of the nacelle pylons. It just feels too long. Maybe if they were angled more forward or backwards it would feel better to me.
Secondary is the saucer could be more like an Intrepid or Resolute.

Since you mentioned the Odyssey you gave me an idea that I think would have worked better: D'deridex shape with Odyssey style saucer on top, flattened fed style secondary hull on the bottom, a Klingon style neck and head, and Romulan style nacelles.
what about a D'deridex style circle with a federation setle engineering hull connected to the bottem, with a long neck that goes up to connect to the front of the upper ring with a Klingon style neck and head moving forward for that?
one thing that I hope soon comes with the ross class exploration cruiser is a dreadnought cruiser variant. That third nacelle on the galaxy made it look a lot better IMO
Between that design and the one of the new Starfleet /KDF hybrid ship I must confess that my admiration of the Vaadwaur Juggernaut is less and less limited to DPS.
Me too. Me too...
As much as it pains me to say it, the Jug is my goto ship as a hardcore Rommie player. Hmm... I just realised something. I have spent more time in that ship than any other since launch believe it or not.
In fact as you know I have all the Vaad ships and love them as they feel more Romulan to me than the official ones - go figure...
If you are looking for an excellent PvE fleet consider: Omega Combat Division today.

I agree. The Galaxy never looked quite right until the Galaxy X and its 3rd nacelle.

I thought of Bob Ross too. We've been watching his old Joy of Painting series lately.
Can we paint happy little trees on it?

That does it. I'm naming mine the USS Chandler.
