Disco Constitution Warps Uncontrollably Out of Combat

astroroblaastrorobla Member Posts: 144 Arc User
For the last few months I've had a bad problem on my $$$ Disco Constitution rendering it virtually unusable:

At random moments during ANY form of combat map (patrol, TFO, battle zone, mission) it will simply warp out of the map to go to my fleet starbase. There's no way to stop it, and it puts the map on cool down.

I finally clued into documenting it using the Windows game center and have a few examples uploaded here:

I'd love any GM help in getting this awesome and costly ship usable.

most likely a keybind to transwarp or something like that

Transwarp isn't even possible from a combat map, much less during actual combat. And I've got no fancy key binds other than cycling through one set of tray powers (and I don't even use that when the warps occur).

Only that ship on that character. I've got 9 active character @L60 and it only happens on this one with this ship (and did not happen for 2-3 months after I first got the ship).

Sadly Cryptic has already closed my ticket with no effort at resolving the issue or even letting me delete the ship and try a fresh copy of it. Not impressive customer service for something I spent a lot of $$$ rolling dice to get.

This is from a Combat map. Transwarp is possible. I don't know why this would be occurring, but my screenshot does possibly disprove this particular point. Now Yes, Transwarp cannot occur during combat, but the video you posted shows that the Transwarp animation starting just before combat. unknown.png

Ok, try to reset your keybinds, and also, put the ship in the drydock and reclaim it again, just in case.

Hmm, had not thought of the dry-docking option; I will give that a spin.

True, you can transwarp from battle zones, but not TFOs, or story missions I think. Still, I have custom key binds I've been using for years on all my alts and there is no transwarp in them, and I'm not invoking them when the problem occurs. And in some cases the transwarp does seem to happen at the instant combat starts, in others when enemies appear. Still just confused...

Indeed, dry-docking the ship provided the necessary reset to whatever got frelled up in the ship metadata. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Yeah, that's always my go-to solution when nothing else seems to work, you see, when you send the ship to the drydock, the object (ship) with all its attributes gets deleted, as in the database, the drydock just keeps the name and the numerical advance on the mastery (Saving a lot of database space), and when you reclaim it, its actually like opening a new "box", like you won the ship again and the system just copies the saved atributes (name and mastery) to the new ship. At least thats what it is ussualy when you create a database. Anyway, i'm glad it worked!
