Hello my friendo's its been a long time since i posted something somewhere around here so i as make my come back once more i come with a debatable question.
I've send up a support ticket this week about an idea that an acquaintance of my came up with and as my friends and i got a little nervous about it.
The thing is basically the ticket also recommended(thanks for GM Ovric for the recommendation) that i posted this topic around here (if its not the right place then please move the thread thank you)
the idea is pretty simple.
Using the armada system to "possibly" (in my eyes its more like obviously) abuse the dilithium discount that gamma fleets have.
the setup is pretty simple:
- some player go and create 4 fleets;
- one alpha and three betas;
- fully upgraded;
- those would be phantom fleets just to set up the thing;
then with the 9 spots for gamma fleets you go and load up with actual active fleets for them to fully make use of the dilithium discount that can get as high as 20%.
I personaly see this as an economic exploit.
As me and my fleetmates didnt know if this was actually okay to do or not we came to the conclusion of "lets go and ask so we dont get busted and lose a decade of game time"
so my question...
Do other people see this as an exploit? or is this a valid strategy?
What does the dev team thinks about?
Again if here is not the right place moving the topic would be apreciated since this is a delicate matter and a response is actually necessary.
see y'all out there and thanks for any response.

Four max fleets (85) -> Armada level 340. That translates into a 9% armada bonus.
To get those desired 20% you need an additional 360 fleet levels => avg fleetlevel 40 for the remaining 9 gamma fleets. Which is roughly every holding at level 2ish. Not exactly entry level.
Now having to only pay ~200.000.000 dilithium to finish your holdings instead of 250.000.000 is quite a discount I'll give you that. However in my experience even with the 20% discount almost nobody is willing to pay any 'real' dilithium for fleets.
well thats why im relaying this to here...
that was the number the dude somehow got for a dilithium discount while he was explaining this whole convoluted mess.
EDIT: oh yes i forgot...
it is not exactly entry level because the gamma fleet arent supposed to be entry level fleets... the guy is reaching out to older fleets trying to fill up the gamma spots
