Personally think they should be working on STO 2 this game engine is starting to show its limitations.
A STO 2 would be pointless, regardless of which way you mean it
-If you mean a STO 2 as a sequel to STO. There wouldn't be much to do since STO already covers like 95% of all the major plot developments one would expect post VOY/Nemesis.
-If you mean STO 2 as a remake of STO, that has the same plot, missions, ships, etc. etc., just with like better graphics, that would be a massive cost for something that would make back little money.
Besides, even if you came into the game when it went F2P, the game pretty much is STO 2 at this point with how they they have revamped, replaced, and touched up.
No I mean STO 2 as a continuation of this game with new graphics engine capable of using capabilities of newer video cards, start from scratch without rushing it out full of bugs like they did with the launch of this version.

I say no to STO 2, it would affect me playing the game. It is already nuts with the SNRs and disconnects I get on a mostly regular basis. I am more in favor of an optimized Cryptic engine that they use already and cleaning up the code. Also, this is an FCT. Now, back to hair physics.

First shalt thou develop STO 3, no more, no less. STO 3 shall be the number thou shalt develop, and the number of the developing shall be STO 3. STO 4 shalt thou not develop, neither develop thou STO 2, excepting that thou then proceed to STO 3. STO 5 is right out.

City of Heroes (which presumably was the original form of this engine) actually had some hairstyles with physics, or at last some moving parts added in the very last year of its life. Also had some really detailed clothing. Which was weird, in a way, because it really clashed with the older stuff.
I just hope they don't take after ToR, one of my favorite short hair styles always seems to get stuck on the back of my characters skull and she has to jump around to fix it.
