Stuck on Cryptic launcher autoupdate

Been having problems with lag/SNR/rubberbanding for some time. Using wtfast have helped but the last few days that stopped working aswell.

Today I'm just stuck on the cryptic launcher autoupdate. It starts at 43 MB. After a few min(used to take a few sec to complete) goes down to 39 MB and then it resets.

Don't have any problems with other games etc.

    some files are write protected but which you muss search....

    Have you closed the Star Trek Online launcher? I had to do it because it got halfway through the window opening up. Thanks. :)

    Well tried to reinstall the game but I still have to get past the autoupdate launcher so I still can't start the game. Anyone one else there playing from Sweden(telia bredband) that have the same problem?

    Mine freezes either while patching in the launcher or halfway through the first loading screen.
    EDIT: Now it freezes when its verifying file 165 (worldregionrules.bin). It doesn't get any further.

    I had to go through the auto update of the launcher a ridiculous 9 freaking times..It got to around 11-10MB left and then restarted 8 times till the ninth (Ironic we have a patrol with the same title) time when it finally patched..Then I Force verified all my files..And in game the server issues are in a different thread..

    I did a full clean re-install, removed the line addressing parked processors causing crashes (-d3d11enable 0 -d3d9), and launched in safe mode. That solved things... for now.

    i have the exact same issue right now - mine started last night when i tried login it kept saying "cannot connect to login server" and booted me out to the account login screen. i uninstalled it from steam and tried to re-install - it kept refreshing the download on the auto luancher update part. so i removed ALL FILES from steam regarding STO and still same result. got the arc launcher and still the same thing. if i cant get this game to work i guess there is no point in getting the lifetime subscription for christmas :( i really enjoyed this game even if it was just for like 5 days of playing and i only got up to captain rank. but whats the point when this issue is persistent over a long period of time

    Have you tried turning off On Demand Patching and checking off Force Verify?

    login timed out. Unable to even launch the arc launcher

    Login has timed out. Please check your network connection. Restated my pc check fire wall and still can't log in. Whats going on here?
