No Kelvin Bridge on the Einstein-Class? (Kelvin Heavy Destroyer)

angrytargangrytarg Member Posts: 11,001 Arc User
Thanks to @thegrandnagus1 I was able to test this ship on Tribble, I noticed that I am unable to select the Kelvin bridge with it. Is this a Tribble-issue, or does it not come with a bridge on Holodeck as well?

Btw: It looks nice with the Type-0 TOS skin pig-1.gif

It simply does not have a unique bridge (yet).

It doesn't need to be unique, but maybe use the one from the Kelvin Command Cruiser?

Yea. If im not mistaken they opend up the bridges of the disco ships to more than just the two crafts they originated from. Lets cross fingers they enable that as well here.

In any case, some realy cool pcis of the new ship you linked OP. Thanks. :)

They could if they so desired, but the canon in me says no. It was an entirely different set-up.

My guess is that they will give us the appropriate bridge for it at a later time. They did that with a lot of ships, starting with the Breen-ones way back. The DIS-ships at first didn't have their respective bridges either.

Yes, it looks neat. The point-defense-turrets are actually retractable and are only visible during combat pig-1.gif

Just like seen in the movie. The more recent canon ships added to the game got more and more screen-accurate, so this is as expected.

The canon in you prefers a generic 25th century bridge for it? :)

Problem is that most lockbox- or promo-ship bridges are "glued" to their respective ships. Also, several lockbox-ships like the Discovery-ones from the first DIS-lockbox received their bridges quite some time after the ships were released.

If you are using the TOS Type 0 material and the blue TOS phasers (as shown in your pictures) why not try the TOS Constitution bridge? Unless you don't have access to it or it is locked out as well.

To be honest, the Walker class bridge isn't that far removed from the Kelvin's.

Is it available? I haven't tested with a DSC character, so it might be.

This is more of a PSA/Information thread, I probably would use a DSC/Walker bridge with it pig-1.gif However, it's weird that no bridge comes with it.

They've been releasing fewer and fewer bridges as time goes by. At most I might have seen them put the previous KT bridge on it.

If you're even remotely close to affording a Connie then you should be able to get a Einstein right now unless people are asking for overly insane amounts of EC since it just launched :p

Last I saw (yesterday) the Divergence choice box is STILL around 600 mil. Discovery Connies are most likely still around the EC cap for the Exchange due to them being promo.

To get the Kelvin, you do not need the choice-box. When you open that and choose the heavy destroyer, you get another box - which is substantially cheaper on the Exchange.

Oof, with no bridge, the Kelvin is a no-go for me. I have the Konnie and I love it for style, both exterior and interior. Would've loved to add the Kelvin to my fleet in a couple months when the demand/price dies down, but if there's no KT-themed bridge, yeah that's a hard pass for me.

Have to admit, still hoping they find the time to make the Discovery Constitution bridge. I adore that ship and I've spent probably 85% of my in-game time on the character* that uses said ship.

*Actually a TOS/AoY character but still fits the correct timeframe as far as I am concerned

That ship is a beauty!.. i don't have it, yet, but thanks to Nagus, i was able to test it in tribble, and is gorgeous!, but honestly, if i get the box, i'll have a very hard time deciding between the D7 and the Ent... very hard time

Really?, i hardly use the bidge.. as i cant do anything there, but i do like this ship also... so many ships i always wanted!, my personal list of ships i'm missing:

    - Valkis (Have the J and Durgath)
    - Crossfield (Prime and Mirror)
    - DSC Conni and D7
    - Einstein and D7

I have every other ship, but those are kinda expensive..

The Grand Nagus was nice enough to send me one as well, I'm thinking about making a new engie alt with one of these.

Yeah, it's a dealbreaker for me, only 'cause I'm also an RPer. Spending that much money on a ship I really like, but then can't RP on, it's a waste for me personally.
