No Quarks for me

valarauko43valarauko43 Member Posts: 227 Arc User
I just went to Quark's to try and complete the universal endeavor for the day. I could not get close to the Dabo table because the controls seem to think that I want to sit down. I tried four(4) times to approach the table only to be pulled into a random chair. Once I was dragged to the other side of the room and placed in a chair. At no time was I actually trying to sit down. This sort of thing has been happening for a few weeks now. Why is the game so desperate for me to sit down ?

You have to click on the button that says Play Dabo, then you will not sit down.

I could not get close enough. Saw the button, never had the chance to press it. It may be a problem with the mouse. All I know is the cursor changes to "chair" unless I keep it near the "ceiling" of whatever interior I'm in. This endeavor happens in other locations sometimes so I'll just wait.

Move with the WASD keys instead of the mouse and you won't have this problem.

The problem should not be happening with the mouse movement in the first place. It sounds like a mouse malfunction or some kind of configuration error in that particular copy of the game. I move around Quark's just fine with the mouse for instance.

Yeah me too when I just tried it. When I move around the interior using the mouse, the mouse cursor disappears untill I stop moving. So I am unable to trigger any form of functions, such as a console.. Or chair.. If I stop moving the mouse cursor comes back, and I can double click on a chair to sit down for example. But whenever I hold down both mouse buttons to move around.. Cursor goes away.

I can confirm the often annoying feature/bug where sometimes interactables like chairs can be activated while using the mouse to change directions/camera view. When it does that, it's faster/smoother transition than just double clicking on them.

This would be great feature if it didn't activate when you really rather it did not.

Such as having a timed mission or need to get through a room full of chairs (like sitting on a rocking chair in a room full of cats).
