Fed ship looks nice, KDF i'll pass.

Have the Federation and Klingons absorbed the Romulans into their respective Empires ? it's been over a year and a half since the last Romulan ship release.

Something like this would be excellent:

Lieutenant Tactical/Command, Commander Engineering/Command, Lieutenant Commander Science, Lieutenant Universal, Lt. Commander Universal

I agree else Command Battlecruisers are already doing the job.

Without any desire to be controversial, I prefer 2 nacelles ships. Maybe I'll wait for the DSC Connie perhaps?

I wish you luck. That will probably be locked behind a gamble box. We are due one...

That being said, I Loooove the Buran. It is the first ship my first though on seeing was "That is sexy". The "Klingon" ship like all things "Star Trek" Discovery is lore breaking.

P.S. That does not mean the Buran is still not pretty. Not all that wrapped up in the bridge officer layout.

Who knows. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll do what they did with the T6 Prometheus.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Thank you for your wishes. Well, I suppose I'll never get that one then :(

Way I see it, it's the Geneva that swaps a Lt engineering to a Lt tactical and gets an offensive cruiser command. Like the Geneva (a "battle cruiser") affixing "command" to the name seems to mean that it is a less offensively oriented flavor of it's subclass (in this case Dreadnought Cruiser). As far as I can tell, the two key aspects of a Dread are a hangar and which commands it gets, both of which the Cardenas has.

Certain folks in here need to dial it way back. As the old saying goes, if you can't think of something nice to say, don't say it at all. Civil discussion and disagreement are permitted, but attacking others is not. If folks can't keep things civil then I will be forced to bust out the mod sword again. Carry on folks.

welp this is the one Ive been waiting on... looks great, hell for the first time I even like the 2410 skin, normally I despise the nacelle shape and the fact they're cartoony and oversized... bit weird the bussard are ORANGE no matter what vanity you put on it tho

but damn once I look at the stats it falls on its nose... then I see the BOFF seating and I really... hate it... The Klink ship was expected, not the barftacular raiders as fighters but eh... among t6 cruisers of all types only eng/sci CBC are unable to get a ltCmdr Tac either native or via uni
Was also kinda hoping for 5/3 like a lot of the other DSC ships have gotten a more aggressive weapon layout

really wanted the cardenas but... ick...

also end of april and STILL NO WARBIRDS

yall really need to get over the crazy obsession with censoring a certain acronym associated with this show

The Buran looks great as a modernized Cardenas. But how come the Klingon ships don't get modernized options? Neither the Qugh nor M'Chla had modern options, while the Gagarin and Shran did. And now it's the same thing with the Qoj. It would be nice if the KDF ships could get alternatives to their DSC looks (something that actually makes them look like Klingon ships).

/QFT! I do not care for the "Cathedral Ship" look of the Disco Klingons. It may appeal to some, but it's rubbish to me. I really wish Cryptic would have offered 2410 variants for the KDF, too.

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

I really dislike the Klingon ship's look, so I'd pass on it even if the boff seating gets fixed.

It reminds me of the pulled-taffy stretched out temporal ships which I also can't stand.

The Starship Mastery Trait might be interesting. Another source of Bridge Officer Cooldowns? But if it's only for a team, it might be more something for team builds.

Klingons are basically second class citizens in STO. They don't make enough KDF ship sales to warrant building an alternate model. The pack discount might be the only reason it's even worth selling these ships - without the ship, people would just buy the stand-alone Fed ship for 3,000, but putting it in a pack means many will buy that on the off-chance they will fly the ship at some point.

I think it's however extra problematic for the Discovery ships, since they break so much with the regular aesthetics of Klingon ships, and have a very unique style.

Such nice fed ship designs, both the canon Disco one and Cryptic's. It is one of very few that I actually like from Discovery.

That bridge officer layout though, yikes, no LtC Tac, and on top of that it's a dreadnought command cruiser. I fully expect it to be an escort, since it kind of resembles the Prometheus.

If it was an intel ship, at least it could boost its dual heavy cannons or beams with surgical strikes 3.

The wait for new Romulan ships continues. Disco 'klingon' ship designs are also very ugly, and I fear for what Disco Rom ships will look like assuming the show gets there. Maybe Picard show will rescue more traditional star trek designs.

the fact that they put keys AND a module into a discounted launch bundle tells me they *know* the ships are garbage

    The modern design looks cool.

Mind telling me what you mean? I'm serious, STO is on/off for me. I do not know what you are talking about and I have the T6 Prometheus and I don't get it since prefer the T6 Akira over it.

At least it might come from the realisation that ships=content is a path to stagnation and apathy. Although adding sweetners won't really do much but hasten things along.

OK, so from the images at the bottom of the post, can anyone explain how we are to get the KHG shield on the Fed ship, and vice versa?

I really don't know why there's hatred towards the Qoj. The guys at Cryptic work on the schematics based on the original concept. To be honest they have done a bang on job. Compare the original to that in game.

They are trying to entice people to buy now with the FSM and Keys instead of waiting to acquire with the T6 Voucher later in the year.

As @darkbladejk has said. Got nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all

That was in the context of insulting other players, not in commenting about likes or dislikes of the ships.

I hate the look of the Klingon ship because I hate the look, period. I also hate Brussels sprouts, reality television, and turtleneck shirts.

I comment on the look not as a slam against the artists, but to explain why I won't be buying it. I agreed with the suggestion that they offer a 2410 skin as an alternate look for those of us who do not like the Discovery Klingon ship designs.

Like Trendy used to say, your fun isn't wrong, but neither is mine. I already have multiple ways to set this ship up in mind, both with and without spec skills, and I can't wait for it. This will be my first c-store ship purchase since the Narendra came out, and I think I'll go ahead and get the bundle, my KDF side characters can always use another ship, and I did buy the bundle with the Narendra too.

Narendra. ... Now THERE is a SHIP!

    Love that ship beyond measure.
