Personal Opinion on the new Fek'ihri Ship

One thing I've noticed (due to flying a scibop so I moved my build to it for grinding the trait) is...its a pretty powerful 'science' platform - gw1, doffed photonic shockwave (chained shockwaves are love), drb1, kemo1, sic1, endo2 ..and a dual tac seat for beam, torp or cannon buffs

As to the console, its pretty nice - decent self buffing damage, decent duration but it screams to be used in conjunction with its ship trait, evasive burst and any other rear firing options (I'm thinking of remaking my old 'stinger' science build with heavy turrets and mines considering the new gear thats popped up since I last ran it a year ago)

I definitely do think a few of my drones will likely use the super S'torr for the forseeable future...at least until the t6 corvette arrives

The back of the ship makes me think of one of the Batmobile's.
I stream on Twitch, look for Avoozl_

The sole reason why I didn't easily grind up the ship, even if it was a nice initiative of game design:

    4/4 weaponry.

When you want @casualsto to melt the ice under the legs of his klingon, you put up a 5/3.

When blazing guns are the main design idea, being able to run a fore-friendly design would be the main attraction.

@ichaerus1 came by and showcased his St'orr Warship for me in system space...before I went off to cook dinner.

I like the way it looks. :) I love the flames. I think it is second favorite ship, by looks. First, is B'rel, of course. Still. Forever. (Can I use B'rel on my Kor, yet??)

It wasn't any bigger than my Vor'cha! I think I may actually like flying this ship!

Of course, he has all the consoles and stuff to show it off with. Zipping around all over the place and all the different "tailored" looks. He has developed a theme of Fire and Ice. That was kinda fun to watch, too.

He, also, showed me his Kar'fi and launched all his Skul fighters....LOL! They all had flames, too. It was pretty funny. I don't like carriers...too much to keep track of....but if I got a carrier, I would probably get that Kar'fi with the flaming fighters.

@where2r1 - Yes, you can use the B'rel skin on the Kor, you have been able to for a long while...if you have the b'rel from the c-store (or the fleet version, I think)

The S'torr is gorgeous, but doesn't hold a candle to a tricked out bop

If it had 5 forward weapons, it would be a much better ship.

I was getting tired of it seeming that every cruiser that came out was 5/3. :)
Though at an inertia of 60, you could argue its not really a cruiser. Its more an escort with a 4/4 layout.
The T6 NX-01 & Fleet Advanced Escort (T6) has the same rating while the Reliant Advanced Light Cruiser (also a pilot ship) has a 40. The S'torr is a strange beast, for sure.

There are only 6 other 'warships' in the game and all with high inertias. Almost equal split on 4/4 and 5/3 layouts.

It's a destroyer that gives up the experimental weapon slot, for a traditional 8th weapon slot. In between the raptor/escort and cruiser classes. It even uses the destroyer mastery package.

Thanks, burstorion, I will run my Kor back into the Tailor, then. I hope it is not the fleet version. I bought my Kor when it first came out....I was pretty excited about T6 BoP...I didn't even want to wait. LOL!

I only recently acquired all the rest of the BoP from the C-store...as part of buying lower tier ship unlocks for Admiralty cards. Still have a ways to go on T4 and T5 cards. Glad I am not doing this on the Fed side, that's for sure.

I took mine out for a test flight yesterday. I love all the fire effects on the hull. The firey exhaust trail, and the way it sounds when you go full impulse, with the jets firing out. The fine detail on this ship is amazing. You can tell they put some effort into it.

I'm still working on rep projects, but eventually I'm going to put some vanity shields on it. Can't wait.

It's only big in sector space, but that's because it was overscaled for that. But the ship is great for turning as well. Especially with all the turnrate steroids a player has choices to activate.

I'm wondering about the physical "hit box" around this ship as well as the sector space scaling. Objects that cannot be flown straight through, such as DS9 in Counterpoint, seem to halt its motion as though I have collided with it, when visually there is a generous space between the two objects.

My Nicor does that as well, and I think it's a hitbox problem with DS9. It's a big complicated model with the pylons sticking out and inner/outer rings so it wouldn't surprise me if the hitbox is a little off.

When I'm ferrying assault teams between the two, I like to fly into the space between the rings and I keep hitting a wall just above the ring where there is open space.

I made it green with the Ageis neon red trim. Perfect for that crazy cat.

This ship turns weird. Especially in Sector space. It looks like it is moving fast...but it turns slow??? Or something. I don't know how I can DOFF in this. I thought I had RCS somewhere....I have to go look, again.

At least, I can see it with that 10 mile long fire trail behind it.
BoP are very hard to see in Sector. Even worse: T-5U Bug ship I got from the Phoenix Box.

Try using shuttle in sector space, Klingon Granny. Also, how are you having trouble doffing in sector space? Bring up the galaxy map, click on a star, travel there. Once you get to the sector and stop, load up on doff missions. And most ships tend to turn slow when traveling in sector space.

To help your turnrate better, turn at 25%-50% throttle, unless you use turnrate boosting BOFF abilities such as Alpha Pattern Omega, Auxilliary Power to Inertial Dampers, Emergency Power to Engines, Evasive Maneuvers, Pilot Team, or a BOFF ability appropriate to a Competitive Wargames engine you have equipped(weapon firing modes while using the Prevailing Innervated engines, as an example). I may end up talking to some of my fleet members about logging in on their new ships, and having us line ours up in a row or something for a screenshot. One of the members has the Aegis visuals with Sol Engines(so that's covered), and I have the Lukari shields/Competive Deflector/Breen Engines for my "Ice" version. Another might go for the purple effects for an amethyst look. Maybe another for a bone white or plated armor look. I wish one of the longtime members was able to get the ship with the T6 Romulan visuals plus other green parts(from undine rep) for an emerald wraith look. *sigh*

I'm still mad as a hornet because STO devs stuck the ship with that garbage generic bridge. Makes me wonder if they're going to do that for all event ships going forward.

I do hope the next fek'ihri ship is a big monster of blood and rust and screams and fire.
The console is fun and creative.
The ship seems to be a class cannon, it doesnt make sense, why are they all sciency and carriers and pilots. That doesnt fit there theme at all.

I hope the next Fek'ihri ship is a T6 Kar'fi put into the zen store for the KDF. Redside is long overdue for that.

I can't think of a single Event ship that had more than a canned bridge with no crew decks, but then I don't spend much time walking corridors in the first place. Interior disappointment aside, I do like the ship's agility, and the Aegis visuals are wild, wrapped around the entire hull in sector space, strung out behind with the flame trail. Still haven't used it much in combat, but it's probably the best exterior animation yet in STO (although the saucer separation and nacelle movement are pretty cool).
