I have very often discconections. And I'm very dissapointed. I wouldn't be angry, if they happened between some regular missions. But lately it happened to me three times while I was mining for rich dilithium mine (for 5k). So I could just say bye-bye to that dilithium. And my connection is not bad (10 MB/s) and I know is not something that could be wrong with my internet provider. I'm often thinking leaving this game just becouse of this disconnections. And I know that is not something wrong with my Internet provider,becouse I can play other online game just fine - without any disconnections.

This is not an internet provider problem.
This is a server side problem.
I have had many server timeouts today.
This should, hopefully, help those of you who have toons that are "stuck" on a map (ie: the game crashes after the character selection screen but before you get into the game).
This has been a problem for me since I logged in after AoD, even after patches nothing has changed, I have tried resetting my Modem, router, made sure every driver was updated, force verify, the works. I can only play a few minutes before server disconnects. I play other MMO's with no trouble at all, can watch movies, or do anything else...except play STO. This issue is on the Developers of the game, or whomever is responsible for connectivity. Maybe there is some new software conflict, but I can shut down everything running in the background and even in safe mode I get the same result, disconnects.

(essentially in options - Force verify ON, Patch on demand OFF, save let it verify - Decided to also quote bellow)
This should, hopefully, help those of you who have toons that are "stuck" on a map (ie: the game crashes after the character selection screen but before you get into the game).
Beside what said, this MAY potentially work also for version mismatch or try it just in case in other cases of unknown crashes.

Also and in general, each time game finds an error and "wants" to verify files (even if you aren't aware of such), do let it. But do better have "patch on demand" OFF for that too, as snovern said. I find it's best to keep patch on demand OFF always.
I have tried all that was mentioned in the above post with the same results, I can't seem to get away from disconnects. I get no error messages, and can even log right back in. but very shortly after I get searching for server, then disconnection. Getting old...fast.
Game still disconnects from server. It's not provider problem, but it's server problem. I can play other online games without problems and disconnections. So if it was provider problem, other games would disconnect too. I got disconnetcet only in last hour about 15 times. Why doesnt DEV fix this problem? It's so annoyin to get disconnected in the middle of mission or PVE event. And if it was provider problem, we couldn't get back into game when we sign in again after we are disconnected. Please, FIX this problem.
This weekend has been pretty awful. Otherwise it's been ok other than the daily disconnects I get in map changes. That's just time consuming.
Right now it is rapidly approaching unplayable status.

Well I got bitched slapped by the server trying to get from the transporter on ESD to the Bank terminal near the ship requisitions area..Kept rubber banding like a damn crazy ball..
Unlike how it was at the time I wrote last post, yes in the last days (since last patch maybe? but not the AoD "introduction" patch) I sometimes see an occasional rubberbanding, a few connectivity issues too, but I can still play - up to now at least.
I seem to have a similar problem I think. Except I cannot get past the engage button without an error message popping up. I have verified the files, uninstalled/re-installed. Haven't been able to play for about a week now for more than 10 mins before it crashes.
Also updated video/audio drivers and any other driver that needed to be updated.

Yeah...the game is pretty unplayable for me since the patch as well. Rubber banding, powers not activating. Reminds me of a lesser version of right after DR.
I am having the same problem, only to a much worse degree - I cannot even connect to the server from Arc, let alone play anything.
I stopped using Arc several months ago. Too many bloody Arc screens popping when trying to activate powers. Tried disabling them to no effect. Never liked the POS in the first place so I just got rid of it. I just use the STO launcher.

For years I've been doing that, however after experiencing about 11 disconnects on Monday it seems the launcher has decided to lock me out entirely with a "You may not log in from this IP address" and can't even update the game.
I haven't been getting booted off, but I have been seeing rubber banding all day, every day for the past week with very few "normal ping" periods. Makes the game almost unplayable.
