Installation 18 hasn't been completely removed. You can find it in the available tab of the Journal window.

Not currently, as far as I can tell. At least not on a Disc character. A Fistful of Gorn ends at the door, but then Installation 18 does not trigger. Nor is it available from Quinn or Horace Jones. I imagine its just a bug of the new system, but I hope Cryptic takes notice soon as I really would like my Pirate Distress Call on my new toon. o:) I did submit a bug report so hopefully someone will see it.

On a related note, you can't seem to replay these episodes now that they are not in the mission journal, or at least I haven't found a way to yet. (This could be related to not being able to "complete" the full arc) Which makes me wonder if we will be able grind out any Jem'Hadar gear from the old "2800" now "Lost Dominion" arc. But again, it seems likely that this is just an oversight or bug.

Franklin Drake is supposed to give out Installation 18 for Feds. I was able to do it on Tribble, but things have changed from the last Tribble build to now, so I can't guarantee that you can on Holodeck.

As for the old Featured Episode series missions, I have replay options for all of them in the Available tab on characters who have completed them all, so that's an improvement from what was on Tribble.

Yep, I forgot it was Drake, and not Quinn, who was the contact when I started the Wasteland arc earlier on the new toon. Still, I tried doing the first part of Spectres so I could contact Drake, but unfortunately all he offers is the episodes from that arc and the Satellite Repair mission. So, since this sounds like it is a bug, perhaps the OP should ask for this to be moved to the bug forum.

Edit: Also, having played the first part of Spectres has caused a "replay" option to pop up, so I guess the problem is, hopefully, confined to Wasteland.

Hopefully they tested it with Romulan characters, for Tovan's sake.

Romulans still have it in their Journal, since it was always more of a Romulan arc that everybody else got to do, and is vital to the Saga of Rinna.

Does anyone know if Installation 18 is still available on Nimbus? I just ran through A Fistful of Gorn on my DSC Tac, which was relatively quick due to the fact that Nimbus III is pretty deserted today, but the follow-up didn't trigger, just Law saying he wants to join my crew - as he should, since it's an awesome crew, I might add.

Anyway, I logged the transported behind the array and beamed back to town, but there's nobody there who seems to be offering it. Just wanted to check out if it's been removed or if anyone else has had the same or different experience, before I do anything so rash as to raise a bug report.

Besides, isn't Cryptic allowed to revamp content without permission from players?

I can't find Installation 18 on my new AoD character, either. And the mission isn't listed in the blog as being one of those removed for work.

Could be worse--it's not as bad for the leveling process as yanking half the Klingon War arc was--but I admit to being annoyed I can't get my Nimbus Pirate Distress Call. I don't use it very much anymore, but sometimes it really does come in handy.

It was not one of the listed removed Missions. Probably a bug resulting from the Simplification.

What level are you? When I first looked I didn't see it, but that was level 22. Nimbus used to be level 26+ only. After I'd gained a few levels I went back to Nimbus and wreaked havoc. I'm on the Gorn canyon quest, but haven't finished it.

Lucky I did (for account unlock, not on all deltas) the missions which require probes on those lines (e.g. installation 18, cold something - was it storage, all klingon's war and sceptres probes), reached and claimed all probes' reward account wide (only), and also already unlocked claimed the account wide line rewards for wasteland, sceptres, breen and klingon's war. what a mess, I can't check this though as having those tasks finished anyway...

There was a warning - check recruits! (quests,) lines, accolades and rewards, probes... what's not to check? why didn't you?
Please DO check it now and fix what which went wrong or alert us regarding any change of behavior.
Now at best it's harder/less intuitive to finish a delta which had not all unlocked regrading the lines you changed.

Mission journal is amazing for a brand new player or creating a new toon. But again with every clean up/streamline of missions it effects previous toons who have to go back and do things they have done before to even get to the next mission they were about do to. Even disco toons are going to go through this again in the future. That is what is annoying.

Also. they could at least put the FE's in the journal or be easy to find to replay. Scrolling down so many contacts to find the missions,,, streamlined. Quality content that new players won't find easily.

One wouldn't think so with the outcry from players telling them to stop it. *Chuckle*

Currently level 60. I was level 30 when I finished the rest of the Nimbus arc, and I did complete the Gorn canyon. Got right up to Installation 18's door, turned in the Gorn canyon mission, but after that no means of starting the next mission. Last I checked, it still wasn't showing up in the Available missions.

As a sort of follow on to this, has any new DSC toon receieved the Nimbus Pirate Beacon at all? I either didn't select it as a reward or it's been removed?

Considering it comes from Installation 18, I'd imagine not. Or at least not many.

So? What is it now? Have the devs already recognized the problem?

(btw. Should not this thread be moved to the bug reports?^^)

It's all borked to hell. The same way KDF aligned Jem'Hadar cannot access Empire Defense and several other KDF missions. It's all broken. The Jem'Hadar / Gamma Quadrant expansion has been a out a while now, the Gamma Recruit Event done long ago, and it is STILL broken. It would not surprise me Installation 18 never gets fixed for Disco toons.

Added another post in this subject just wanting to put the info also here.
A delta which skipped (before AoD) to Installation 18's mission, did it before AoD and found the probe before AoD,
Tried yesterday to do the rest of the line - the order of quests was unclear.
Got one "Wasteland" quest in other category fixed to level 21 (usual), and 3 other quests to do as well with an unclear order. Did those and got the ability to enter an instance for "The Undying" quest.
Did that, and together with a previously done Installation 18 (and those additional IIRC 1+3+1=5 quests beside Installation 18), finished the line.
    To sum things up,
While line was finished AFTER AoD and I already had "Installation 18" mission and the probe - BOTH from BEFORE AoD by skipping, I still can't repeat "Installation 18" or have any of those "Wasteland" missions in J->Available or repeated otherwise. (I did skip before AoD and order was unclear after AoD, mentioning as maybe it's linked.)

Note that unlike with Spectres, Breen and Second wave parts, after AoD, the quest were all accepted together for the 1st time in Available tab, or were accepted before AoD hit.

    P.S.
As I checked, (at least one of) My AoY char finished the whole line (and probes) before AoD, and it has the quest repeatable though. Unlike the other chars.
