Going to Warp Sound Effects?

It seems that the sound effect for Discovery players and ships when going to warp has somehow replaced the traditional sound sequence for all of my characters regardless of faction. I very much prefer the old sound sequence (personally). I am not going to complain about Discovery content but I am going to ask if it would be possible to have the older sound set for going to warp restored (at least for my account and characters). Someone told me the sound effects are character bound but if that's true then there must be a bad glitch. Thank you for your help :)!

LOL! It is very odd sounding, isn't it. It seems to only be playing a partial clip of the warp sounds from Discovery characters for my Klingons and Romulans and Jem'Hadars.

And I could have swore my Jem'Hadars had a purple beam in and out of ground maps...now it looks green. Hopefully, they get all the audio and animation issues straightened out, soon.

I am having the same audio issue as well on all my non Discovery captains. The Discovery warp sound seems to start up when the ship is about to go to warp at the same time the normal going to warp sound is starting up. Then the discovery audio stops and the correct audio continues.

It sounds like a record scratch, and each time I hear it I imagine a freeze-frame followed by this voice-over: "Yup, that's me at the helm of a star ship. You're probably wondering how I got here."

Just noticed that this is in the wrong forum section. Moderators, please feel free to move it to Support - Sound and graphics bug reports section at your discretion :).

This is very much something that should NOT have escaped QA's attention during internal testing, and ceratinly not during Tribble testing! Of course, when you cherry-pick what you're going to put up for testing, this sort of thing happens.

The infuriating part of this is, when Jeremy was asked on the livestream Wednesday, he seemed to think it was intended! And I'm like, 'no, Jeremy: something that makes every ship sound like a DISCO era ship should NOT BE!' Hopefully they realize what's going on and get it fixed soon...

Add me to the list of sound oddities. Somehow all of my ships now sound like they're heaving a hairball while being flatulent as they go to warp. It's definitely jarring, to say the least.

I don't have any TRIBBLE content active (ships, missions or characters) if that makes any difference.

I have this same bug as well. All of my characters (FEDs, KDFs, ROM-KDF-aligned, TOS-FED, DOM-KDF-aligned) have now discovery warp charge up sound followed then by the classic warp swoosh sound effect. This bugs me since the introduction of AoD to the live servers.

They have no QA lead for this game hence these problems as well as very strict deadlines. For info go to www.crypticstudios.com, click on Careers, there you will see the vacancies.
