Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 10/11 at 7AM Pacific for 2.5 hours. (What time is this for me?)

    And the old sponsorship tokens being nothing but inventory space eaters is just being swept under the rug. We can't even convert them back to marks or anything.

    And the Titles are no longer available. Didn't produced the tokens when not needed.

    There the first task forces are gone:

    Big Dig Task Force Operation will be removed until further notice.
    Breaking the Planet Task Force Operation will be removed until further notice.

    Hope it is not like Terradome. Removed for rework and never brought back.

    My Vulcan is stuck. Took the turbolift to Armoury and Teleporter Room, but I had to log off. When I logged back on, the door to the Armoury is open, and since I can't 'Unlock the Armoury', the mission won't progress.

    I submitted the bug before last patch. I'll try again tonight and tomorrow, but methinks it may linger

    Edit: Thank goodness I thought it would be best to log off outside the Armoury, the door is locked again with the door control highlighted. If I stayed inside the room, I may have been stuck from the inside and would have to reset the mission.

    Starbase 1 is bugged to heck...the premiere TRIBBLE TFO content and it cannot be completed unless you wait 10 to 20 minutes between waves twiddling your fingers yet thats not even worth a fix/mention?

    ..or is this a new invisible timegate to increase metrics?

    Ever since the patch for Age of Discovery my launcher has been crashing. What can i do too fix it?

    Why just updating some code requires 2 hours of downtime? In some other games when its patch comming out, you need only to relog and download new files.
    Also a bug on dis character: i cant choose perks from ground skills that gives training manuals for boffs.

    It doesn't, they also do server maintenance during patches.

    Not always, but they have to take down the servers completely to upload the patch. To do that and then bring them back up in safe manner so they don't crash, TRIBBLE goes south and everything takes a lot longer, takes about two hours. That might sound like a long time to people who don't know how this stuff works but believe me, then amount of stuff that can go wrong and make the process even more time consuming if not done properly is mindboggling. So they set off two to two and a half hours minimum to do this.
    Should be noted that more often than not the servers are up some time before the deadline, like half an hour sooner.

    You don't mention you have submitted a bug report. Have you? They can't fix if they don't know about it

    Have played it numerous times and have yet to encounter an issue of any kind. Try force verifying on the launcher in case some of your game files are corrupted.

    The spawn rate and triggers are on their end not ours so a verify won't solve the issue with starbase 1.

    One can only assume they deemed the gamma waiting zone to be such a success they're rolling out the thumb twiddling mechanic into all the other aspects of actual gameplay rather than reigning it back and locking it into the doff&admiralty non play stuff.

    Did you try the thing where you switch to the 32-bit version in the launcher?

    1. the Patch Size MUST be restored to the launcher. It is VITAL INFO for those of us that have NO ALTERNATIVE for data plans/service. Which is more of the U.S. than you think.
    2. Dilithium missing, bug reported.
    3. Where are the old TOS bundles? I was looking forward to claiming a Type 2 Phaser and a spare for a BOff. I searched the C-store and it (the TOS Bundle), nor the Phaser itself, were listed anywhere.
    4. I was also hoping to claim a TOS Connie; is that going to remain locked-out for the duration of AoD/2256 missions?
    5. At what actual point will our AoD Captains have CREDITS with which to purchase AoD gear from the 2256 Vendors? This was a bit difficult to manage in AoY, but so far in AoD is not possible at all, even if we were to sell of the gear we are given as mission rewards. As it wouldn't be enough credits to be worth the sacrifice.

    PS - I fully support a T6 Nova, fixing the Nova skins. I am also rooting for a T6 Science Cruiser, that can use Nova/Rhode Island skins.
    T6 Nova/Rhode Island, T6 Oberth & T6 Constellation are needed. Also needed a T6 Science Cruiser, that can wear any Science or Cruiser skin.

    No mention of characters not gaining XP during Starbase One STF or from AOD Klingon kills in the "new" missions.

    Here's a workaround for that bug

    While on ground map,
    click ?(help)
    click "Request GM Help"
    click "Stuck"
    click "Bridge officers are stuck or missing"
    click "Request reinforcements "
    They will appear now, note, changing instance you will need to repeat this. but they stay with you through ground transporters.

    Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

    Here's a workaround for that bug

    While on ground map,
    click ?(help)
    click "Request GM Help"
    click "Stuck"
    click "Bridge officers are stuck or missing"
    click "Request reinforcements "
    They will appear now, note, changing instance you will need to repeat this. but they stay with you through ground transporters.

    Thanks kindly for that, however I'd prefer an actual fix and will merely avoid the area until such a time.

    Literally dozens of them have been filed by various people loading into that area. Absolutely no word from Cryptic, no mention of it being a known issue. Almost as if dozens of bug reports filed in the game simply aren't making it to the developers desks.

    About that - I THINK I've observed the problem there. (perhaps ONE of them at least...

    If someone on the team uses Aceton assimilators, I think the assimilators stop a new wave from spawning. The assimilators take a Loooong while to self destruct, but I've noticed that as soon as they do - the next wave spawns immediately.

    Just a theory from a few instances I noticed last night -I plan on testing it as soon as I get back into the game.

    Issues 3 & 4 - I would image that the TOS stuff is locked out when in the AoD era, because that stuff is from the future, from the point you are at. Once in the 25th Century I had no issues claiming the TOS bundle, or AoY bundle either. But they weren't available for use in 2256 - because that would be, um, cheating I guess ;)

    Re issue 5: Once you have finished the AoD tut, done all the stuff for Admrl Kensington (running around back and forth) and she gives you the "Secrets" mission you can select the option to visit your Starship Bridge, and use the account bank on it to get money, then beam back to Earth and gear up.

    People ask how long have I been playing STO - well the answer is simple: I have been here since the beginning. I just haven't always had a lot to say.

    I've had no issues with launcher or game crashing on startup, on either of the computers that I play on.

    Haven't had any bugs in any of the content I've tried either. Not saying I won't run into something, but I haven't as of yet.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    and my Fed-Rommy and Fed-Jemmy can't claim the baby Walker ship.
    and the bar meters on the Reputation pages don't increase, thankfully the numbers increase or I'd be pissed that I'm not getting my 5k Rep each day.
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    Thankfully, I had no bugs but I have had a problem with the game crashing after a cutscene is played. Happens regularly. I will change the graphics settings on my AoD Vulcan and see if that fixes that. This game really needs to be optimized. Also, I agree it is nice (not to mention important for those with metered connections) to be able to see the amount of patch being patched and the final total as well (not just the percentage). Please fix the launcher for those people as well as me. Thanks. Enjoying this greatly! :)

    I always 'try' to remain calm after any amount of sufficient content release by Cryptic for STO. I've just learned to anticipate a couple more patches beyond the normal scheduled ones. I think some of the new mechanics released along with this AoD content wasn't needed, but instead is being used to steer STO players onto a path that Cryptic would prefer us to follow compared to just having more options allowing us to decide, but it is their game. The Known Issues are still pretty well balanced with Resolved Issues so I'm expecting probably a couple of more patches. Even though it is frustrating having to see & experience similar issues pop-up again & again with these bigger content releases, & this isn't even an expansion, it happens with online games so I just hope Cryptic is trying to get it correct & done right for us players even if it takes a bit more time.

    I'm kinda wondering about the Sponsorship tokens myself. I made some just before the announcement that alts would be auto-sponsored and didn't get them to lvl 50 in time to use them. All they are doing now is taking up space and no way to get those marks back. I'm hoping there is a solution being worked on, but something tells me that they will just remain space wasters and we simply get to lose the marks used to make them.

    And these are not the first queues to be removed, they got rid of Starbase 24 on Tuesday.

    So the Walker Bridge does have a console for Bank? Good to know. In the Academy another player gave the tip for going to the Pollux System; I went there and Quark, in his S.S. Break Even, is only to happy to let you use Bank and Mail.
    I had not tried the Bridge yet as I had seen posts addressing the issue of the Walker Bridge having no Ready Room.
    Now that I have Credits, I will head back to Academy to buy some of the 2256 gear.

    you need to remember from the initial reporting of a bug report it can take upto several months for it to be fixed. The bug needs to be sourced.. A fixed needs to be written. Will that fixed actually work. Will that fix break something else. The fix needs to be vigorously tested. Then it can be released. A bug effecting the camera once took 4 months to resolve. Players resubmitting bug reports on issues already reported also does slow things down. The devs do do everything they can to fix things as soon as they can. Sadly there is not enough hours in the day sometimes. It is not also a case of concentrating on new stuff. New content etc is set to a timetable. Bugs can occur randomly. So something that was bugged prior to new content coming out doesn't mean it is being ignored or forgotten about. It means they are still working on a solution. If the devs had a magic wand great sadly they don't.
