unless you care to enlighten me what special niche the Recon Destroyer or the Support Cruiser fill that other Fed ships can't?
They fit the market niche of ships that would sell to Ambassador fans and New Orleans fans.
Nothing they couldn't have saved for a more crucial ship...like the anniversary ship. It fit no needed niche....plenty of escorts with a Lt Cmdr Intel slot...multiple Cruisers with a Temporal Commander.
So nothing that hasn't already been filled.
That's not important to Cryptic. What is important is whether or not a ship will sell. So they fit the needed niche of selling to people that want to buy them.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Make good ships that people will buy and they will sell?
They've intentionally made horrible ships multiple times in history so they could point to it as a excuse not to make more. But now they've found a even better excuse...they don't even have to make a bad ship that wont sell as a excuse not to make ships...that is the only reason why they have access to Fed or KDF ships.

I would very much prefer to see more Romulan ships, rather than being lumped into the fed category for ship choices. I actually stopped playing my fed characters as I found them terribly boring. And primarily focused on my Romulan characters, as their ships are far better looking.
I even found the Jem'Hadar dull as anything, and simply made one for the bonus account wide stuff. Granted, one of my Romulans flies a lockbox science ship, due to them not having their own science ships at the time. Still, I'd very much prefer Romulan ships to be put into the store, so we have that choice.
As it has been said, feds don't really need another cruiser/escort/science ship, as there is already far to much choice.
Even if Romulans have a major role in the new Picard series, I doubt there will be any new Romulan ships from it due to the destruction of Romulus.
I hope that the destruction of Romulus gets retconned out with the Picard series. I'm sure that i'm not the only one that thinks this.
Since TOS is being retconned away, they may as well do it to the Kelvin universe as well. It could be in the Prime Universe the VSA provided timely assistance and averted the disaster, or a alternate universe where the Romulans on the Nerada decide to go to Romulus and give the RSE two centuries warning to evacuate the system rather than the crybabies in an alternate universe who throw a temper tantrum and blow up their ancestral homeworld (Vulcan) like morons with a sense of entitlement that borders on psychosis. Only JJ could write things so moronic.
But more likely, to avoid having their society infected by TRIBBLE's "values" they are probably frantically building up defenses all along the Neutral Zone to keep the Feds and the Kling-orcs out.

MULTIPLE cruisers with a Temporal Commander? You mean the Fed-ONLY ones?
Feds have more yes, but the KDF can use the Temporal Dread...and have the D6.
Romulans don't have any options other than the Temporal Dread...so why didn't they get one? It would have actually fit a niche they don't have. (Fed and KDF get a cruiser while the T'liss is a tactical warbird)

Very easy to do since the only evidence that old Spock is from the Prime Universe is the end credits with Leonard Nimoy playing as Spock Prime. We already have Spock from the STO Universe travel through a black hole and Romulus was destroyed in the STO Universe. If CBS wanted to, then they could make it that old Spock was from the STO Universe not the Prime Universe and STO is the official continuation of the events in the 24th Century shown in Star Trek 2009.

That isn't a Khenn Cruiser, and doesn't have singularity powers.
I know...you can't even fly it if you were willing to accept such. They added the Rom D6 to the game and still not playable.

Just my thoughts on it of course.
