It's finally here! Today I got a giant box filled with layers of packing materials! In the centre was my ship.
Unfortunately I suck at taking pictures, but here's a bunch that I managed to take that weren't blurry messes.

The ones above were taken with a flash which made the ship look more white than it actually is, so I turned the flash off for these next few.

Sadly all of the shots I tried to take underneath turned into blurry messes, but it looks just as awesome from there too.
The pictures really don't do it justice, the detailing is amazing.
Consider me one happy Captain!

What size of ship did you get? It looks cool. Just too bad that we can't get Herald ships. Although, I imagine those would be possible in a few years when they can create transparent supports. Although, I suppose it is possible if the entire structure is printed using a transparent material with the visible portions of the ship painted.

I got the 12 inch painted version while it was cheap.
There was a delay of a few weeks but it was well worth it.

Well, that one looks pretty good, unlike the 4 inch TOS Constitution class another player complained about here https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1241986/do-not-order-the-gameprint-ships-pics-included/p1

Yeah, that's the difference between $350 and $25 I guess.

Looks awesome. They really did a great job on the painting. I can see why the painted models are having such a long delay. And wonder how much money they lost on the intro prices.
They did, I remember seeing the original 3D printed ships Cryptic were working on offering, they looked pretty bad by comparison with lots of layers from the printing very visible.
Even so I had money to spare on this because I'd saved up a bunch even in the hope of a crappy low res version way back when.
As for how much they lost, I honestly hope it's not too much, I'd like this to be successful enough to stick around.

Funny how some people think that those should look the same....

And really it's not even 350 bucks. The normal price is 500+ dollars after all.
That's right, the paint job was a freebie for early adoption.

I wasn't expecting them to look the same, i was expecting to lose some of the fine detail and color accuracy that you get with a larger size and hand painting. I was not expecting the blurry mess I've seen in the close ups people have been posting. When i was a kid i had micro machines that looked a heel of a lot better than these 4 inch models.

I for one would like to focus on the positives.
There's plenty of complaining for everybody on that other thread.
    My ship looks amazing.
