I spent a spec point in Commando (which is one of the specs listed by the "Spend One Specialization Point" task), and the task still shows as incomplete. This is on a KDF Vanguard.
The first 3 Specialization rewards and the first 4 R&D rewards should be unlocked by default the instant you become a Gamma Recruit, since you start the character with those already completed.
Holy TRIBBLE!! I cant get into game because of the patcher but looking at the number of reports cropping up I am wondering if this is a sign not to enter just yet..
Ditto, tho some are saying you need 20 hours played to claim the spec point reward too, there's no indication of that, but I cannot yet confirm if it works.
I will have 20 hours soon of game play on my jem haddar and wil lbe able to confirm or deny that shortly and by shortly i mean 45 minutes ish according to /played
Yea My fed aligned Tact Jemmie vanguard has this bug too and I spent one point on every specialization that wasn't already completed just in case it was badly worded
Is this a problem for all JH or just JH Vanguards? I know it doesn't work for my Fed JH Vanguard. Tried a few different specializations to see if it was just the Pilot Specialization or all Specializations and still no Gamma Recruit rewards.
I am experiencing issues as well, after having spent 5 points in the Commando specialization, the transponder did not recognize this happening and the option to claim the 1 point reward and the 5 point reward is not available. It is using a KDF JH Vanguard if that is a factor. My thinking is that, just as the system does not count the spec points already provided with the JH as part of points to count towards the transponder rewards, it is also not counting the actual points spent by the player and grouping them all together as ‘not applicable’ or something to that effect.

I can understand the thought behind that but unless there was some statement to say otherwise, the rewards are based on the player spent points not the points already provided and allocated. I'd be glad to have it include the already provided points but I don't think that is the intent of the Gamma rewards system. Just like the R&D system, the transponder is not counting the already leveled research schools, which I also think was as intended. The system is suppose to base the Gamma rewards on what the player actually completed by their own actions. The player just benefits from not having to also put additional time and effort into certain things that were already provided with their level 60 JH.

Starkaos, this appears to be an issue with only the Vanguard jem'hadar. I created both a regular jem'hadar and a vanguard jem'hadar. The regular one gets the gamma reward for spending spec point , recognizing it as soon as the first point is spent.
On my vanguard jem'hadar, I have spent several spec points and the gamma clicky thing is just not recognizing at all that a epc point has been spent. I've held off on spending more until they get it fixed, or they confirm that any pending fix will credit the points already spent. since there are additional rewards for higher number of spec points.
Confirmed. Specialization points spent will not trigger the reward for Gamma Recruits. Kind of a pity that this bug wasn't fixed in today's patch actually, because it's blocking the player from finishing the task.
