Yesterday, in a glorious battle, my friends and I were shooting away everything which came in our way in the Arena of Sompek.
After 300 rounds and over 5 hours, we recognized that nothing can beat us and we called it a day. We got 17,700 dilithium and some marks.
I have to say that it was a lot of fun... and maybe a new world record.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!
Thanks. One of us five had here and then a short break to get a cup of good fresh coffee, for example. If you have a good team, you can also survive with 4 players for some time.

pretty simple, using temp hp buffs like phasic shroud

Thats the difference between sompek and maru, one is an enjoyable challenge that lasts a while and the other RNG based nonsense you waste 5mins on and avoid going back to until the token cooldown is over because the failure state is often out of player control.
I can't imagine I'd ever be able to do that. I get bored around lvl 10. I don't hate ground combat, I actually find it kind of fun, but not THAT fun.

Congrats, that's one hell of a endurance test.

I'm inclined to take your word for it. Congrats!
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

I too am inclined to take their word for it, until evidence comes to forth that I shouldn't. IIRC the rewards stop going up after level 91 so waves after that are just for bragging rights.
Now if there was a give away for someone who reaches the highest wave I might be more cautious about this claim but as it is faking it just doesn't seem worth the effort to me.
On topic.. congrats.. not sure how you guys can handle 5hrs of Sompek. I can play it 5 min tops and I am sick of it, so I admire your fortitude.

I can't say what happened in the map but I can confirm they spent five hours in sompek. I was online at the time. Considering it takes an hour to get to level 100 with a good group, it would be harder for me to believe this is fake.
Three Hundred, hunh? And here I was proud of myself for making it to Round Twenty in a PUG in the Timed version, lol.
Because no one else has done so yet in this thread I feel compelled to do the following:
Gratz, team! Well done!

[offtopic. AGAIN!]If it is, it was mostly due to the four random strangers the game dropped in with me. I was that Romulan guy in the KHG outfit with the eyepatch and the [GRN] Nanopulse Bat'leth who was trying to distract the NPCs so the others could get a good flanking shot and take them out.
The others are why I got to 20. I helped but it was indeed largely their efforts which made us last all the way to the end of the timer.[/offtopic. AGAIN!]
300 is indeed an accomplishment which very few are able to achieve. The OP and his team mates really should be very proud of this.

Of course, I do understand the criticism. First of all, let me say that it is not my attention to provoke anybody. My attention was to show that there is something in this game, what is a challenge and, especially, something what is a lot of fun. Don't get me wrong, I really like this game. But, nowadays, more or less what we are doing is to play very short lasting missions. On average, a PvE queue lasts about one to three minutes. Often, there is not much of a challenge in this short period of time. We are somewhat used to farm dilithium/marks and try to do so in the shortest PvE queue possible.
On Thursday evening, our goal was not to play 300 rounds. Our goal was to have fun. The Arena of Sompek is something which challenges you as a team and as individual player at the same time. In my opinion, I would go almost a bit further and say that there is not anything like the arena, at the moment, in the game.
I come from a time in which we played LAN-parties and strategy games for hours over hours. I am used to long lasting battles and fights. In our 300 rounds run, I went back to some of those memories and I have to say that I really like that. In 300 rounds in the arena, a lot of stuff happened. People got each others back, supported others when they got into troubles and even sacrificed themselves for the team. We had fun, we experienced difficulties, but, most important, we were having seriously a good time.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide you a video. But, I am honest in here. We did play over 5 hours and 300 rounds. I play on an old PC with a first-generation i7 processor, 8 GByte of RAM, Gefore GTX 750 and so on. It does not go well with video recording. However, in order to keep my mind busy after almost 5 hours of playing, I took a screenshot every round. I would like to give you 300 shades of Sompek, I don't know, but here are at least some impressions, which might serve also as a proof of our run. I think one of our guy from our team made also a CombatLog. Maybe I am able to get it.
like in Space you are able to "Regenerate"
