Happy to see you were able to get Salome Jens in-game as well. Is there any chance she could redo the voice of the female Changeling in "The 2800" missions?
Ah yes, I remember that particular mission for among other reasons the fact of it showing off MACO armor coloration options that are for some ridiculous reason unavailable to the players, and the not-so-good doctor we encountered in the Klingon War arc. It would be a shame if her dialogue in the upcoming missions does not reference, where appropriate, said previous meeting. And yes, bughunter357, it is rather silly that whoever wrote that statement about her didn't actually check to see whether or not it's accurate.
But you know what I mean, a shot of new ships, or weapons or even of the Hur'q themselves. Something tells me the bugs we've seen are just the cannon fodder for the big guns to come.
Yes, it's entirely likely the creatures dubbed 'Drantzuli' by the Tzenkethi are some sort of vanguard/servitor species to the Hur'q proper (the Tzenkethi might not know this distinction, which could explain their applying the term to the Hur'q as well). Likewise, I highly doubt the swarmers we've seen represent the entirety of the Hur'q spaceborne ORBAT.
It's sad that Cecily Adams couldn't live long enough to reprise her role as Moogie to Rom and Quark. She was hilarious in DS9. However, getting these people in the game is awesome. I am excited to play the expansion and to hear the voices of Max, Salome, and the other actors as their characters.
Even sadder that Andrea Martin (who played the role first) isn't in.
Epic cast. But no return for Avery Brooks as 'Ben Sisko' or Nicole DeBoer as 'Ezri Dax' or Colm Meaney as 'Miles O'Brien'? Such a shame. Maybe a future episode?
"In the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode, “The Abandoned,” Bumper Robinson played a young Jem’Hadar who was found on Deep Space Nine as a baby. He grew to near adulthood in a matter of days, and despite Odo’s attempts to reason with him, returned to Dominion space to be with his people. That same Jem’Hadar, Dukan’Rex, is now an Elder First, and will be a central character to the story of Victory is Life."
Um STO is like 30-35 years after the ds9 ep. where Dukan'Rex was, and if i an't mistaken, Jem'Hadar live a max of 15-20 years. So how could he still be alive?

Brooks likely doesn't see a need to return to the role; he isn't appearing in the DS9 documentary that's due out later this year either (though he has done VO work for Trek games before). DeBoer and Meaney are harder to explain.
It's a shame about Colm, as Miles O'Brien he stands out as one of the best characters from the show at least to me anyway.
Play it from the point of view that Miles did his part for king and country and preferred a more stable life at home. He left DS9 for a position at Starfleet Academy as Professor of Engineering. As he said himself, teaching young officers the difference between one device and another. I think one of the biggest flashpoints for Miles was Molly's accident on Golana and the effect it had, it may have accelerated his desire to leave for Earth.
His son Kirayoshi has since taken over his father's legacy within Starfleet. Hard to build a character around Kirayoshi really as a 37 year old when all we knew of him was his time as a regular baby/toddler. Still, Kirayoshi isn't a particuarly noted individual within Starfleet.
Also wondering will Victory is Life will have a close beta.
Perhaps for a select group of players chosen by cryptic to do some testing before launch to catch more bugs, but that isn't something Cryptic ever advertises but is probably common. These people are all held under an NDA, naturally.
For a public competition to be one of the luicky ones to access closed beta session? i haven't seen this before for any content with Cryptic.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Shattered no Meaney or Brooks, but on another note, PWE must be throwing some serious money at this game to get all those actors back for their original roles! Can't wait for this expansion.

I was looking forward to a reprisal of the Miles O'Brien character, too. Only human character I enjoyed following on that DS9 show.
But the Ferengi were awesome, so I am glad they are in. And I liked the story of the Tailor, too.
I wait with trepidation, though. I have little confidence of good stories happening on STO. They tend to be vapid and characters turn out to be shells of their former selves.

Agents of yesterday had a close beta only to people who subscribe to the game and it was on Tribble only.

Well at least i know of someone who can remember more than a few days on something.. just general venting after a month of the same old, same old on this forum.
then i stand corrected, but AoY wasn't exactly something i remember as i left the game shortly before it launched and didn't return until early 2017.

it's a VERY good comparison, because it proves unequivocally that the jem'hadar's short lifespan is due to them constantly being throw in the meat grinder, not because of any biological limit on their lifespan
No, its a very poor comparison because this particular jem'hadar wasn't locked in a cage all his life and lived the life of an expendable soldier that is standard for his species
Nobody is saying their short lifespans are a result of a short biological lifespan. Nobody has ever said that. Their short lifespans is because most of them get killed in combat when they are young. The ones that make elder at 20 are already living with whatever injuries they received throughout their lives and end up getting weaker as they get older. If combat doesn't kill them some other younger and healthier jem'hadar likely does and takes his place, seeing as they have a culture of settling disagreements by personal combat
"The Changeling has been in Starfleet’s custody since the end of the war – has she changed, or will she be a new threat to the Alpha Quadrant?" funny how I remember it was that we let her go at the end of the 4400 series. not complaining just saying it is kinda funny how Cryptic own workers don't know there own game.
So I wasn't the only one wondering about that statement then
He was born well over 30 years ago at this point and its been flat out explicitly stated that none of his species had ever lived to 30
so was the jem'hadar we rescued in brushfire - he still lived for well over 30 years until we rescued him...then he died because we are death incarnate and everyone around us not protected by plot shields dies
I heard, for a fair price of 500 gold-pressed latinum bars, you can get a plot shield..., from a reputable dealer, of course
Kind of surprised there will be no new Worf dialog. But, I've heard tell that Michael Dorn didn't seem to like what Cryptic did to the Worf character, which I'd be surprised if that were the case. I thought it was good personally, but then again I don't have as much invested in the character as Mr. Dorn does.
Where did you hear that?
Micheal Dorn, in an STO interview said that he would have liked to have some of the things done differently, such as whether Worf would have cut ties with the Federation or not. But it wasn't something that would have stopped him from wanting to return. Such as how the Feds and Klingons are healing their past rift.
He did a bit of dialogue for the Bushfire episode, where he comes in to help with the evacuation from the prison.
I'm thinking that in Season 15.5 (or later, who knows) they'll continue with Kurn and Worf's house returning. Martok is busy right now to have that happen. I've a feeling that if the Klingons do replace the Emperor (RIP Kahless clone ), Martok would take his place. That way J'mpok can continue doing his thing as Chancellor and Martok can contiue to serve the Empire in his own way.
And thank the Prophets for that, considering it'd be novelverse Super-Dax and not the Ezri from DS9.

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
> Awwww, no Ezri Dax?
Yeah, that is unfortunate, I was hoping a Dax would be in the expansion given we have Ezri's ship from the novels as a playable ship.
So far the only Dax we have gotten in this game is a future Dax, Captain of the Enterprise J. PS I love that they Dax the Captain of the Enterprise J.
