Got to say I really like the changes to the infinity boxes and hope those changes carry on to newer boxes. The upgrades to the Temporal science/destroyers as well was a welcome change. I like the direction you chose to go with on getting the older ships back up to top tier, instead of doing new boxes simply updating them for the infinity box was a good choice. The whole ultra rare ship thing needs to bite the dust in every way honestly, 1.5 billion credit ships is just insanity.
Good job Cryptic! Looking forward to whats next.

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Now please add a T6 Recluse for the next Infinity Box. I'll be your friend!
Im fully aware of that, i was talking about in general.
It pays for the DS9 cast. Victory Is Lockboxes (and R & D packs).
Agreed. Especially when its the very desirable ships like the T6 Temporal Connie.

Also am really looking forward to T-6 versions of these ships, •Verne Temporal Science Vessel (T6) – Federation Only, •Qul’poH Temporal Science Vessel (T6) – Klingon Only, •Sui’Mor Temporal Science Vessel (T6) – Romulan Only & the Temporal Destroyers also. The T5 science versions were pretty uber, tank wise way back in the day when they 1st came out. So really looking forward to what a T6 version can do.
Separate boxes were more interesting, more event-worthy (not that Cryptic ever took advantage of that) and kept a more varied in-game economy.

The change isn't live yet, that's tomorrow (at least for PC). Your T6 box should update to being able to grab the T6 all-faction box version once the patch goes through, barring bugs.
Hard to tell since you weren't clear in what you were talking about. The "ultra rare ships" are infinity box ships that regularly sold for 70 million. Not 1,500 million like promo ships which have nothing to do with infinity boxes.
Or to make the boxes account bound so that I could gather the various ones all in the account stash for use as and when. Seems if I want a klink based ship I'll still need to gamble on a klink.
Just checked the ones I have had stashed and other than contents being increased its the same rules to open as before.
> One thing I would liked to have seen is the option for any captain to obtain any ship regardless of faction.
They’ve gone one better. The reward has been changed to a box which contains the faction appropriate ship. This has the effect of eventually equalising the prices, meaning KDF players don’t have to pay through the nose.
Because the boxes I checked on my klink, both old t5 and upgraded 2ndry types, showed the full list under details as before but using the box only showed the cross factions (like the APU or d'kora) and klink specific ones.
One better would have been the option to obtain (for example) klink only ships on my fed or rommie. But I couldn't.
But it's something that I wish they'd have gone that little bit further and added into the game rather than having people open infinity boxes on a specific race.
Or as my alternative suggestion, make the boxes account rather than character bound to again allow the prize to be an actual prize rather than dustmagnet in a bank slot.

I agree with all of that. However, the system also got very unwieldy and confusing to newer players, plus tons of inventory space getting lost for 7 different lockboxes (some of them doubles) during the drop event.
They had to switch to an all in one because we had so many lockboxes.
I mean... if you wanted something from a specific lockbox, you'd have to not only farm for those specific lockboxes, but know what is in EVERY lockbox we've ever had. And we have had...
And that is the CURRENT up to date list of all lockboxes. And that list grows each time they add a lockbox. So now... which is more preferable? The all in one Infinity Box where you can select from the stuff that was in ALL these boxes? Or trying to remember what was in each and every box there ever was and pray you get the box you want, as well as pray that you get the item you want from said box?

That's a much nicer deal for buyers.
