I think I could use one now... KDF sided Vengeance-like/Scimitar-like ship. 5-3 dreadnought cruiser in the C-store or from an event. what do you guys think about this idea? I could come with the design idea.

The T6 KDF flag ship is prolly closest you will get to that, there is no 5/3 dreadnought in the cstore for KDF or Fed, and isnt one at all from events. I personally like the T6 neg'var, you can make that into a dreadnought like ship even tho its 4/4, if you are stuck on dreadnought you are looking at lockbox/lobi/promotion ships. I have my T6 neg'var turning on a dime and it can use cannons or dbb very effectively. The T6 bortasqu is a solid ship, all the T6 flagships are. It can also mount DHC if you like, though id stick to DBB or something since the bortasqu does not turn as good. Though with Aux to Damp and conductive RCS you can make just about any ship dance.

Yeah, I'd see it as this way:

The 5-3 dreadnoughts are as appearing: ROM : Scimitar (t6) - Tac oriented (11 console slots) and FED: Vengeance - Engineering oriented (11 console slots).

The clear missing piece is a 5-3 dreadnought kdf side sci oriented.

(Name to be completed) class dreadnought - kdf side
5-3 weapons, secondary deflector (optional sensor analysis)
4 tac consoles, 5 sci consoles, 2 eng consoles.

cmdr science/miracle worker specialist, lt.cmd universal, lt.cmd tac, lt. eng, ensign universal.

Normal Cloak. Turnrate 9, inertia 40, shield modifier 1.2x, lower hull capacity than the scimitar, +10 weapons, +10 aux. 1 hangar bay : exclusive pets (not frigates) with Normal: disruptor pulse cannon+turret, photon torpedo, crf 1, hy 1. Advanced: +dual disruptor cannons, crf 1, csv 1, hy1, ts1. Elite: crf/csv1, hy1/ts1, brace for impact.

Universal console: Honorific Conduits : +15 all resistances, + 15% shield capacity, +5 accuracy, +5 defense. Activatable: Drops the hull to 25%, providing a brief immunity window (2 sec) and reduced boff skill cooldowns by 15%. Can be equipped only on this ship.

Starship mastery: Science Vessel. Trait: Each tac ability triggers +3% bonus weapon damage (stacks up to 3 times), each eng ability triggers +2.5% max hull (stacks up to 4 times), each sci ability reduces damage received to shields by 2% (max 5 stacks to a 10% shield dmg reduction). All stacks last for 10 sec. Trait name: Honorable Manifest.

Feedback most welcome on the whole idea.

And... C-store obtainable for 3000 zen sounds like a fair price for that thing of a beauty.

Feedback - Brokenly OP. Good job!
    jking.

Id suggest a type of klingon heavy fighters that look like mini mat'ha raptors. And for their active give them a mini version of the disruptor spinal cannon console aka disruptor chain-gun scatter volley. Weapon loadout on elite fleet version. 2 DHC (fore) 1 Quad Cannon (fore) 1klingon disruptor torpedo (fore), 1 turret (aft). Skill loadout, Eng team 1 (self only), CRF 3, THY 1, Disruptor spinal cannon volley. Limit them to 4 per squadron. Give them the updated Hur'q fighter AI so they go after enemies backsides and stick like glue. Once this ship is bought it unlocks these for all carriers on your KDF toons.

Now hows that for a KDF hanger pet.

The ships aren't the main draw to the game for me. With that said, I do like the pilot ships the best.

    For me once I hit
T6 Fleet Intel Sovereign, what a ship

What are you running it as a HYBRID or TAC or ENG? I keep swaping my universal for either full on TAC or full on ENG as required..But yeah ever since I started playing in 2011 end when I got the T5 Assault to now with the Fleet Intel assault cruiser..She's held up over the years in everyhting besides PvP and fairs pretty well in advanced so much so I have stopped playing any normal ques, Only advanced and the ocassional elite barring Fez..PvP in a group she does well as support but 1v1 its RIP in 5 seconds..

Wish for a NORWAY CLASS to be introduced for ENG..Not many ships for ENG especially for PvP,,

I run her as a conventional Assault cruiser, that uni slot is the only place I can put sci. I run her as a tactical build, engineering and sci are my heals and emergency powers

I have never contemplated leaving, so there's never been a 'saving-grace' ship that kept me going. I most enjoyed the advent of the first temporal ships (Mobius/Wells), though. Temporal stuff is always fun. :)

On that note, where is my T6 Mobius, Cryptic?! :P Make it so!

I enjoyed flying the Mobius on my first character up until getting my hands on the Walker Class. You might want to give that a try until we get the T6 Mobius and Wells, which should hopefully be the next lock box or two out.

I've never left the game for anything longer then a month and usually that was due to vacations or work or something in real life that was just more interesting, but I will say that the ship I got most excited for in this game and to this day the only Lockbox I invested huge sums of money in is the Kelvin Lockbox. The Kelvin Timeline Constitution-Class is not only my favorite ship design but its just so damned powerful and my favorite ship archtype in game. I have yet to part with it and chances are I never will. Unless of course they make a Beyond style Enterprise-A skin. CRYPTIC PLEASE!!!!

This might happen when the next ST film comes out. They have already started talks and preping for ST4 so itll be a while still.

Corvette... it gave me the inspiration to see just how fast I could go.That said, 99% of my ships could be considered so as I enjoy trying new ideas for builds that while are not dps gods, are a lot of entertainment to fly

One of my old scimtar builds was fun as it fried to emulate the loadout of the canon scimtar with beam arrays, turrets, torpedos and csv'd cannon to look like multiple weapon ports firing... not a dps king, but it was always fun to fly in a scimtar-y manner
      • the design of the whales star cruiser is just legen ... wait for it ...

PLEASE CRYPTIC!!!! I also cannot contain my excitment for Star Trek 4. Beyond was just so damned good and am really interested to see what Tarantino brings to the franchise.

All i can say is Im glad my Kelvin ships in STO actually have working shields, JJ and Tarantino might want to look into that before doing ST-4 cause kinda sick of seeing the Enterprise get its butt handed to it every movie. ST-1 Neros ship was from the future it should kick its butt. ST-2 Vengeance was double the size, ya but still built on same tech level it shouldnt have just ripped through it. ST-3 enemy just drove through the entire ship + shields like they were tissue paper.... come on...

So here is hoping that the ST-4 Yorktown/Enterprise at least manages to take a hit on the shield without exploding from it.

Keep in mind im not knocking the new movies ship, its the stupid directors that have made her get roflstomped. And in Generations Riker made the most common pitfall, underestimated his opponent. Riker was like pshh 20 year old bop is no threat, lets sit in 1 place like a fish in a barrel. The torpedos that the Ent-D took were also likely very powerful vs say TMP era torpedos, so taking a bunch of those straight to the hull would hurt.

The Ent-D's warpcore was also targeted, lucky she didnt breach and explode faster then she did. People pick on that part of the movie as bad plot, but honestly its a classic pitfall of humanity, Justin Lin basicly copied it for ST Beyond. Kirk should have turned away right off as everyone told him to fall back, but kirk being kirk pushed his luck, he was overconfident another classic pitfall.

Why I said its a stupid direction though, is JJ Ent had 3 movies in a row where it got manhandled like no tomorrow, id like to see it really stand up to some damage before getting wrecked next time. TNG movies went, Ent-D wrecked thanks to 100% shield pen, Ent-E whoops borg butt, Ent-E took a sona beatdown before blowing them up, Ent-E and Scim had manly boxing match which basicly had Scim Ropeadope the E, till E threw the match by biting off Scimitars ear.
