I'm giving away 750 million worth of ships, gear and EC to help drive awareness of 2 channels in the game. Why? It's my way of saying thanks to the players who created fedsim and kdfsim
When does this happen: Saturday, January 27th 2018 at 10:00am PST, 1:00pm PST, and the final drawing at 7:00pm PST
UTC TIIME is + 8 HRS for me : 6:00pm UTC Saturday, 9:00pm UTC Saturday, 3:00am UTC Sunday
How do you enter? It's really simple. Just be in either the fedsim or kdfsim channels at the times and day listed above, and the lootcritter@ddesjardins will ask you to reply in-channel with a simple phrase like 'I like cookies' or with a hashtag like #fedsim. You will have 60 seconds to enter - and you may only enter once. Spamming your name will be frowned upon. We'll capture your name for a random drawing, and use a random number generator to select multiple winners. It's that simple.
Prizes will be awarded in person. Yes, I'll be clearing out my mute list - so anyone can enter.
Prize List (it's growing)
3 T6 Ships - Tzenkethi Escort, Herald Vomph Dreadnought, Nakuhl Acheros
2 T5 N'kam Scouts
2 sets of Ultra Rare AEGIS gear
3 UR PEP Torpedoes
250 bundle of contraband (start your own distribution network!)
4 Ultra Rare TR-116B Rifles
1 EPIC Phased Tetryon Pulsewave Assault (Very hard to find, classic wetwork weapon)
and 250 million EC!
Thank you to
@raven_zero, the admins and regular daily players for making fedsim and kdfsim the real place for simulation!
ADMIN EDIT: Removed a bunch of stuff that was unnecessary to the actual contest.

I expected better from you as a spokesman for the STO community, Lootcritter...
This post is just telling us that those who work hard to set up a channel for your benefit can be treated like trash, get their name plaster in shame all over the social medias -including your blog- for doing their job, and on top, get their channel poached by those who keep breaking rules.
Not mad... I'm just dissapointed the truth wasn't told and that herrasment of players is applaud with glorious giveaways to them...
Cheers,

You know a channel's got nonsensical rules when one of them is "you shall never ever mention another channel."

I'm disgusted
Not sure what's there to know/not to know. At this point it's gamewide knowledge your channel has the biggest amount of drama anywhere in game, staffed by people terrible at their jobs. The only reason people use it is because there hasn't been any real alternative.
While having been myself heavily critical of OP in the past, I applaud their decision for trying to provide that alternative.

I do use a couple of channels in-game that is meant to help the STO community & most times it does seem to function, but over the year there also seems to be a bit more drama in STO overall not just a channel or two.
I applaud any effort by anyone in attempting to help other players, especially for the community/fleet requirements, since it seems there's more & more consumption of resources for features being added.
"When does this happen: Saturday, January 27th 2018 at 10:00am PST, 1:00pm PST, and the final drawing at 7:00pm PST"
If you intent is helping other players offering a venue for them to communicate together & help one another then I don't understand why another channel would want to impede if that's their intent too & vice versa so good luck upon the channel's grand opening per say!
Comradmoco -
I'm not a spokesman for the community - I'm a blogger who has over the years pointed out the BS many players are subjected to, and written about what I like in this game. I've devoted entire blogs to those who perpetuate the fun, and the things I love about the game. I've also pointed out problems between players. I don't think of it as a tantrum, but rather a huge thank you to the channels that when out of thier way to help players instead of hindering them.
The Lootcritter
Wait. You are trying to tell us this thread is a "thank you" when 80% of your OP text was complaining about the channel you don't use anymore?

Isn't that the same reasons (Drama) we have a ton of fleets with different colors depending on what people want? Chat channels are no exception to that...Simulation, fedSim, kdfSim, SimFed, SimKDF, Fed_Sim, Kdf_Sim, kdf_Sim, fed_Sim...etc.
As a vulcan might put it...Human beings are so illogical

Why post that under this thread? Are you just venting for the sake of it? All that you stated has nothing to do at all with the thread topic lol.
That should go under the Support forum, if you feel like reporting it https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/categories/sto-support
