Pugged it last night, got a team full of noobs against what seemed like a premade. They were on us before most of my team even started moving away from the gate. Battle waits for no one indeed. Despite the huge disparity, we made them work for it and managed to lose only 15-10. Did not get the endeavor. No matter what people say about pvp, a dose of it is good for you as it forces you to git gud.
Uh... what? Don't most of the high end DPS builds STILL vape Elite NPCs? How does adjusting Player HP and NPC damage make it so Players don't vape PLAYERS?
Used the ground queue for this one and had a blast (pun intended). Lost several times to organized teams. Switched up tactics, gear, and went through all 3 disciplines of toons quite a few times after completing the endeavor just for the experience. Definitely one of the more fun endeavors and you learn a lot. Look forward to seeing it again in the future.
And HP doesn't mean anything if you get drained into submission either. I've been hit with a Tyken's Rift strong enough to totally shut me down before getting obliterated. And there was nothing I could do about it.
The problem with PvP Meta is that they will always find some way to make the other side unable to react no matter what. Right now its Vape builds. We buff player ship HP, it may very well turn into drain builds. Either way the result will be the same. The victim can't react.
You're also assuming that everyone would also try and counter drain with drain. There's still casual PvE players like myself who don't follow metabuilds.
I meet some new Guys i never meet befor and got some really nice Fights & Conversations after the Matches. A Lot of Guys would play PvP more often if the Reward is ok. OFC every 20h just 1200 Dil is nothing.
Biggest Prob. for most Guys was just that.. they come in a PvE Build, this will not work like a PvP Build in a DPS Challance.
I understand it ofc,.. nobody buy Gear or chance Build for just 1 Match.
Anyway.. i like this Endever PvP.. meet new Guys.. have some Fun.. at least PvP is not dead for 2 Days. Thx for it. Take care Guys and see you in 3 Month again ( i hope so ) .
Btw. Not every PvP Player is a bad Person.. if you need help in PvP just ask them.. a lot of Guys help. PvP can be a lot of Fun.
Have you thought of doing the SiF placate build? It should drive quite a few of the PvP quite mad if they don't have good control stat. You don't need much...just an active doff and two copies of A2SiF. I mean the whole build has more than that...but that small adjustment to your PvE build will make you way more effective in PvP...especially if your team can make use of those openings. Oh also fun thing...grab the competitive rep engine...the one that boosts whatever boff ability you use most along with a A2D and you can kinda be a zipcort. Small things to make your PvE build more survivable and more effective in PvP.
Honestly the only build I've really tried outside of my balanced PvE was the Megawell.
I've been running the Kobali set a lot since I got it. The extra heals certainly helped with survivability. Against lower end PvP builds, I have surprised some with my resiliance.
But the truth is I am not a PvPer. I've had bad experiences going all the way back to WoW and frickin' Death Knights. I enjoy PvE a lot more. Especially battles against Fed/Mirror, Klingon, and Vaadwaur. Out of all the enemy groups, they have the most abilities to throw your way. And with my Jack of All Trades style... I'm ready for just about anything. Although Fed/Mirror Escorts and Armitage class drive me nuts with the Point Defense, and the Command Battecruiser Torp Spreads are downright evil.
I'm sorry, but you baited him. That being said, let's stop with the insults and personal attacks, and continue this discourse civilly, or I will just shut the thread down. Thank you.

Same.
