Would have thought we would have had a blog about it today saying at least something. Something else the sto devs are going to drop the ball on it seems
Things have been pretty quite and understandable over the festive period. I'll imagine something will be done to mark the occasion on Thursday and i'm betting either the DS9 Uniform from the C-Store will be offered as a freebie or perhaps the DS9 Pack if they are feeling very generous or even one of either the T4/T5 Defiants
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
Well I already bought all of that so looks like I will be missing out on any freebies. : (
With all the TOS stuff released a while back and the incoming DS9 stuff being released, it looks like TNG is pretty much getting the shaft with only having anniversary stuff and a mission or two inspired by the movies.
DS9 is actually my second favorite Trek with TNG being my first, but I guess I can't complain that at least there will be new stuff from my second favorite.
I would love to get the uniform at least. And I have an account that didn't get the free Defiant because I've only just created her over the summer. So wouldn't mind if they put the Defiant out as another freebie. T4 or T5 will suit me just fine.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
They already gave away the T4 two years ago, maybe they will give the T5 version this time.
I know. I have that one on my LTA, I created another F2P acct over the summer and she has nothing except what she could get from the Promotions tab and the Breen ship. So I'm hoping she gets some freebies pretty soon that she can use. If not, she'll just muddle along.

If memory serves me that line is "you'll get nothing and like it"
Anyway, thanks to a hardware crash my pc is at the workshop and probably won't be back till end of week. No joy for any DS9 goodies.
This old pc has a slow wifi and almost not RAM so cannot play STO. Shudders from STO withdrawal.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
OP, it's not Thursday yet and Cryptic like to always play their cards very close to their chest. Just because they don't perform a week long song and dance about something, before the event, doesn't mean they have dropped the ball!
However, the actual anniversary is TODAY! Jan, 3rd, 1993 was it's original release.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
I just saw online that today marks the 25th Anniversary of the Deep Space 9 premier. I can't believe that it's been that long. Are we really going to let it pass by without doing anything to commemorate it?
I have a feeling that while there may not be anything today to commemorate the anniversary, I bet the next expansion will give plenty of love to DS9 and those who were involved.
I do wish there were a Dev/CM post at least recognizing the anniversary. The day is not yet over yet, so there is still hope.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
So, to head this off at the pass: I made a cool thing for the anniversary today that'll be up on Facebook and Twitter in about half an hour, but in terms of actual Deep Space Nine stuff in game, I wouldn't expect anything this week.
That being said - *stands up in his cubicle and looks at what literally everyone is working on* - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Just being honest here: Ds9 suks, so I'm glad the devs don't care enough about it to waste their time. One of the best development decisions they have made in a long time!

Then I guess you'll be disappointed with the next expansion.

Fingers crossed for the Return of Sisko (but he would be the first captain to appear in the game... still, would be awesome).
It's not likely he'll appear, but he could be part of the plot "off camera" like in the existing DS9 stories (Dominion takeover by the fleet he diverted, returning the Orb to the mirror universe).

Pay attention to the line that's 15 seconds in.

According to that poster, you're also a day early, but the semi-reliable Wikipedia agrees with you.
