New Ships

It's been a long time since they released any new ships, they say why? I bet any up coming cstore bundles are gonna be really good if they are taking this long for a 9 ship bundle. This is the longest drought without ships i've seen in years

Also... do you not count the new Plesh Tral Heavy Raider as a new ship? We got that one THIS month to go with the Winter Event.

The next 9 ship bundle we will likely see is with the anniversary ship, like years past.

As others have stated, MW bundle/ships came out around two months ago, so no there is no drought of c-store ships. The next one to come out, as they stated, will be linked to the Anniversary.

There will be a C-Store 9-pack sometime around anniversary, just like always.

And a new lockbox.

Since the last two anniversaries gave us T6 versions of previous released T5's such as the Odyssey's and the Vesta's, I am going to guess that Kumari's will be next, and since the other two were engi and sci I think it would make sense if tac would be next.

Wouldn't make sense to give us the Andorian Escorts for the event, they'd need to be for every faction.

No, they can do seperate ships appropriate to each faction like they did with the T6 Vesta's.

Problem with that is that KDF and Romulan players don't have anything analogous, so either they'd get shafted (one ship per instead of three, or a weak reskin of one of their existing ships), or the Federation players would get the short straw (KDF/Rom players getting entirely new designs while Fed players got the Kumari, for example)

It would be nice to see some more new ships, like a T6 Ambassador, T6 VoQuv, and plenty of others. Maybe they are working hard on T7's and are slowing down the T6 schedule.

If they were to release new ship, it would be nice if they were able to secure the rights to ships from other games. It would be nice to see what they could make of the Incursion and Fek'lhr...

Except they just stated a few days ago in a priority one interview that they are unequivocably not working on T7 and the release cycle of T6s has not changed or slowed down in any way.

Hmmm. Just like they once said there would never be a Tier 6? When it comes to money, everything they said more than 3 seconds ago goes right out the window!

The only reason to do T7s would be for another level cap increase. The lateral progression of the specialization system makes such a cap increase entirely unneeded. This plus as somtaawkar pointed out, they never denied T6 was coming, they have repeatedly & emphatically denied T7.

Unneeded isn't relevant when it comes to revenue.

Only thing that a T7 would be interesting for would be dual-spec hybrids. Something that has, for example, Pilot Maneuvers and Inspiration, or a Temporal MW ship

Don't we already got T6 with 2 specialist seating? As for things like command abilities or MW ship skills I really can't see having 2 or more of those in a single ships without destroying any resemblence of balance and thus effectively killing the game (since people would rather leave then be forced to pay).

After all the store T6 ship aren't that much better (at least in PvE) that you'd absolutely had to have them, The free T5 (or T6 from events) are "good enough" especially with a decent build that you don't need to buy a c-store or lockbox ship.

I was thinking that they'd get slightly lowered/less versions of class skills, similar to how Flight-Deck or Battlecruisers get ~half of the standard Cruiser commands.
