Yes, "this again". You people and your Planets of Hats - you'd think every single human being looked exactly like you!

"Planet of Hats" is Canon Star Trek, Humans, Klingons, Vulcans, Andorans, and 90% of all races in Star Trek are all descended from the "Ancient humanoids", not to mention that the Preservers went around and took vulnerable groups of humans and others to new worlds. Which is how we get Actual Humans from "Native America" Worlds.

as to why are all aliens from one world the same?

Because people on this planet tend to follow racial stereotypes as well. I won't list any out but I'm sure you as an individual with a cultural and ethnic background have behaviors that are similar to other people of the same background, which are different than the behaviors of people from other ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Fantasy loves to play with what is basically a Human trait and magnify it on aliens, it's less a statement about how different they are, and more a finger pointed right back at humanity. To point out our flaws and strengths.

Vulcans = Logic, philosophy, the internal struggle against instinct. = What makes a human different than an animal.
Klingons = Space Orc, Viking, Samurai = How to come to terms with our constant need for battle.
Ferengi = '19th century Yankee traders' = How to deal with our greedy and selfish natures.

The 'Hats' are just a way to reflect on the truths of humanity, by magnifying what we already are, Humans in these Narratives tend to be the idealized Modern Human, which also points a finger to how Cultural diversity is vanishing under the pressure of a global society.

Cryptic already said they wont do a TOS era Klingon or Romulan faction because there isn't enough lore on them from the TOS era to base enough missions and stuff on.

And we all know they're not creative enough to make original content for that era...

While they didn't make expansion status, we should still get the ability for character creations and customization. This would go well with head canon or foundry missions.

    Their biology, was changed.

The showrunners actually went to great lengths displaying the changes pre-release too. admittedly, the changes rae kinda ridiculous since it results in an 'alpha predator' race that you can kill (or cause severe, debilitating brain damage to) with a solid punch to the face...but that's their bag, their right, and what they did. (clearly in all their consultations with the biology speculators the idea that this 'warrior race' might actually get into fights occasionally, didn't come up. Ditto for their weapons designers in the prop department-they didn't bother to look at how those designs might fail to work ergonomically, but instead looked a bit too longingly at their 40K miniatures and a few too many plays of Final Fantasy XIII, and maybe Bayonetta or something else that features illogically impractical and/or useless weapons designs).

it's not just cultural differences here, is my point. It's a complete redesign from base biology up, and it's a redesign that doesn't even fit the culture they're trying to write.
At this point, the reason for the heavy re-design of the Klingons is fairly obvious.

So that the audience would not recognize Tyler-as-Voq when the "big reveal" happens.

The heavy prosthetics and radical design changes to make them as alien as possible adds layers of separation between the audience and Tyler-as-Voq. Kurtzman and Co. have a history of this kind of misdirection (ala Lost) and they have gone out of their way to spread misinformation (Khan was reported to NOT be the villain in Star Trek: Into Darkness) such as the phony IMDB profile of "Voq's actor".

Star Trek:Discovery has a little too much Lost in it for me. Well, a LOT too much. I did not like Lost BEFORE it totally sucked.
