Global Server Down in STO DS9

I am trying to RP in STO on DS9 #1 and all the sudden all local chat has stopped and each time I try to speak in it, it says global server down. I am not sure if it is anywhere else, it just no local and private messages aren't working. I can see messages I type in team or fleet chat but not getting any response.

    I too am having this issue on ESD in all zones. No error message returned by server when I try to chat.

    good to know it isn't just where I am I just didn't want to talk about anything I did not know from experience.
