Can't download/patch game...

I tried downloading the game tonight and it froze mid-patch. I restarted the game and now it's stuck at "patching" with no progress. Any ideas? Should I maybe try to download through Steam? Thanks!

    I wanted to reinstall the game, but I got the same problem for some reason. I was able to install Neverwinter, but not Star Trek Online.

    I don't know if it's related, but I'm doing a new install today for STO, walked away and came back, and it's just sitting at 6.6% complete. The progress bar says "patching..." and it's at "Patched 1045.3MB / 15GB".

    Hitting the Cancel button doesn't seem to do anything. Task manager isn't saying it's not responding. I'm seeing occasional bursts of .2% CPU useage. But it's been like that for a while. Going to try killing it and restarting it.

    update - ok, after killing the tasks and restarting, it eventually finished on it's own.

    same, got new PC and i was able to get Neverwinter downloaded, and STO failed. what wrong with ARC???

    Mine is jumping all over on download and mostly sitting at 1kb/s! Its not my net since all others are fine!

    I can't patch my game either. It's extremely slow, it starts and downloads a bit, then stops, starts again and stops. It's going to take forever at this rate. I use the Steam version of STO, the launcher starts a normal and I can log into the launcher but I just can't get it patched.

    Edit: I managed to get it to work by changing the proxy in the patch server to the US one.

    It fixed mine also! Its funny how common this is for all games! Devs are lacking in training and future issue planning!

    back again...so I found the US proxy under Options in the launch window. Changed patching and game to US, still stuck with the "patching" on the Launcher. I also temporally turned off my firewall, but still no luck.
    I'm using Win 10 and live in Canada, so I'm not sure what's next...

    On the launcher, I can't get past "patch". I tried turning off the Firewall and reinstalling. Nothing seems to work! I would really like to play this Game! Help!

    I have the same issue today. Trying to install the game on a new pc, but once the patcher is started and I log in, it goes to Patching status, but there is no progress and clicking the Cancel button doesn't do anything either ...

    I have tried with the proxy set to None, EU and US ... no difference.

    I have also added the Cryptic Launcher as an exception in the Windows Firewall.

    Also installed Neverwinter without any issues ...

    Please help :-)

    same install to new PC issues in that goes to "patching" and never moves,.. left sitting for like 3 hours

    I am running into the same problem. It patched Arc, which patched the STO launcher, and the first time it got to 25.7% and stalled. Since then... nothing.

    Manually set patch server to US, and still nothing.

    Found a Zombie Process for STO. Killed it, restarted patcher and it's going now. If I don't come back, it worked.

    how do i change the directory path for installing the patch? i've installed arc in a hard disk partition with more than 100GB free space, but when i try to patch, i get a message saying that i have less than 15GB free space. please help.

    i've installed neverwinter with no problems in the same partition. but star trek online seems determined to be installed in another partition with low free space.
