Maybe some females for the neglected races? I know I want a female Nausicaan...

They had no problems creating females for various races for other factions...

Would definitely love to see some female Nausicaans, Letheans, and Gorn. The fact that we never saw them on screen is irrelevant. We saw no female Tellarites, Saurians, or Pakleds, yet we have them.

I recently started 2 Romulan/Klingon characters. The initial interest was dilithium farming. But I like them more than that. I cannot put my finger on why, though. Maybe I'm more familiar with the controls or how to approach different situations. Maybe it's the machismo and implications of glory from an honorable death. I can't speak for the ships as I am still flying warbirds, but I intend on starting a proper Klingon once I get the Rommies tucked in.

I don't believe any sort of reward or shiney would have brought me to the KDF before seeking more dil. That might attract mercenaries and honorless dogs like my Romulans. But to bring in a Klingon. A son of Kahless. You need only offer glorious battle and a day to die.

Perhaps a meaningful overhaul to melee. Not a nerf/buff to the barely passable system that is already in place, but make it into something worthy of fierce animation and war cries. Blades and boots. And an arena where spineless ranged weapons and technical magic are scorned.

IS exactly why I want them, there was concept art for them and because the Nasicaan have some really cool armor options the other KDF races don't.

Yeah, the fact they don't have females, kind of turns me off from the other species of the KDF. Gorn, well being reptilian, one can play who they are. Just can put in bio that your Gorn is either a male or a female. As reptilian female do not come with the standard equipment for feeding young.

I do already play KDF. I have a Klingon, Orion and Rom-KDF Alien(mainly for the costumes here, as it it a custom race).

My Klingon tends to be left alone. But, that is more on me, as I play an Imperialist. So I tend to get shunned on bother sides of the coin there.

For those playing the other races and having a problem with the KDF story line. Remember, the Gorn and Ferasans are the two CONQUERED species, and the Orions, Nausicaans and Letheans are allied to the Empire. Thus, the story arc is more of a introduction of how thing are within the Empire. Consider it a learning experience. Which is far easier than actually looking up and reading all the lore. The Klingon story arc barely even scratches the surface of that.

I'd play KDF side if the storyline wasn't a pile of stupid featuring the player character being a mindless jackass incapable of forethought and looking to punch things. If I wanted to play an idiot in search of a village that solves every problem by howling about "honor" while holding down the trigger rather than engaging their brain, I'd be playing an orc in WoW.

At the time, when they introduced the KDF, they didn't even have this. The story line actually came later. But, also at the time, they were the "bad guy" which is sort of where Cryptic has kept them. Though, here of late they have been painting a different picture with them. Which the story arc, as I said, doesn't even scratch the surface of it all. It was their first attempt at writing a more Klingon based theme, so it really only uses the stereotypical version of klingons. The space orc, if you will. They didn't really start picking back up on the Empire until the Iconian Arc. Which the Klingons since are a more accurate portrayal, than the space orcs version is.

The main thing that raises my ire about this is. They refuse to make an Orion Science Vessel. Which if you look in to the lore, Orions have a lot of this very thing in their history. The main thing coming to mind here, is that modern Starfleet medicine is based of recipes found in Orion ruins in the 23rd century.

They also have the Orion University and the Adventurers School. The latter being a 4 year school dedicated to Space Travel. Which, if you go by the lore here, the Orions have a been space faring for quite a while now. I'd say at least 1000 years. So almost as long as long, if not longer than the Klingons.

Getting the following was way easier as a KDF and is standard equipment on my KDF ships.

    Synergistic Retrofitting Set:
    Set 2: Alliance Weaponry
+33% Phaser Damage for Directed Energy Weapons
+33% Disruptor Damage for Directed Energy Weapons
+33% Plasma Damage for Directed Energy Weapons
    - [x] Universal - Dynamic Power Redistributor Module (aka - [Console Pack - Hull Ionization Module / Secondary Shield Projector (Klingon)])
    Acquired by: Undiscovered Lockbox
    - [x] Universal - Point Defense Bombardment Warhead ([Cross-Faction Bundle: NX Escort Refit Equipment] (Lobi Crystal Consortium, 450 Lobi)

of my 13 Characters 7 are KDF and 2 are KDF allied Romulan Republic, so yeah. Admittedly 3 of my KDF are Ferasan, 1 is Orion, 1 Gorn, with my main being an Andorian looking KDF Alien Space Pirate, and an alien I am going to redeco to look Kobali.

I had a Klingon Captain but deleted him for Delta Recruitment, when I initially didn't get my free captain slot. Maybe I can do it for the next recruitment event.

I can't recall the reasoning as to why they didn't add them.

But at this point, it would definitely attract some payers to the KDF if they at least added these. More so if they added them for Lethean as well.

It's one of the points that turns people off of the KDF. Since only Klingon, Orion and Alien have male and female. The Romulans, while having less races, have a male and female version of all of them.

Of course the C-Store races also have male and female versions. So one can add Ferasan, Talaxian, and Joined trill to that.

I prefer the KDF side. It is much more enjoyable, for me at least. Less idiocy in Zone Chat, less “entitlement” drama, and more serious gamers on that side that I have witnessed. I have roughly 60% of my characters as KDF or Rom/KDF. My Fed characters are mostly used for farming or for gear storage.

I would be more than happy to make another character if there is a KDF recruiting event along the lines of the Temporal Recruiting Event.

For me it’s because the Klingons have only ever been just another “planet of hats” group and there’s really nothing about them as a race/character other than the warrior race thing, and that makes little sense.
They’d need engineers and scientists to be able to ever get off their home planet but the imagery we always get of them is a bunch of smelly, scruffy looking fur wearing raiders where every room looks like it’s got serious rust issues and the lighting is stuck on low power. They’ve always struck me as too one sided and with little identity other than “warriors & honour”, there’s little else to describe them.

At least the Feds are a big old mixed bag and you can relate to the human aspects directly. Plus there is a metric tonne more canon background to build off with the Feds. Even the minor races are open enough not to become cliches of themselves but with some very basic ideas to get you started.

Plus Ive not really had much interest in playing a group which were just the bad guys in most canon stories.

More bridge options would be nice, or at least an option to change from the hideous red smoky bs to something easier on the eyes, yeah yeah I know that the Klong are a race of 'honourable' warriors and all that garbage and put utility(and 'intimidation') over aesthetics, but they're not the ONLY KDF race. An Orion aligned with the KDF would not like all that smokey red rubbish, they're into more...lavish interiors, though they certainly don't need to be as spic 'n span as Starfleet interiors, Rommies need more bridge options as well, though the default Rom interior is still much nicer than any Klong interior. Also some differences in how different races are treated would be EPIC, my Orion female sure as the TRIBBLE ain't no honourable warrior, she's sneaky and underhanded and would much rather a more...subtle approach to solving problems, rather than going in with bat'leth raised and screaming a klingon war cry.

A wider variety of Science vessels would also be nice, Starfleet have TAC, ENG, and SCI vessels from the outset, KDF on the other hand mainly have TAC vessels and some ENG ships, with SCI vessels only really available from Lobi shop and C-store until Late game. I realise Star Trek is very Fed-centric, but if they're giving us the option to play the 'other side' then by the thousand Gods please, PLEASE give us more options in playing it.

I've been playing all factions since day one on console. I've got both Dahar Masters and Romulan Fleet Admirals. I've got Reman Fleet Admirals too! I was leveling an Orion female up too, but eventually lost interest. Overall I have more than a dozen maxed characters, with a few more in the pipe! I would like to see more unique content be added to Klingon and Romulan factions.

I would like to see each of these two iconic races have Suliban, Cardassian and Kazon character creation options?

Most of my chars are KDF or KDF aligned Roms. I do have a few Blue chars but the Blue side is too boring. I always come back to KDF and still create new chars now and then.

Already a dedicated KDF player - but I would love to see a little more attention given to things like expanded hair options (seriously, theres more than 5 hairstyles across the entire Klingon Empire, Im sure of it) and more costuming.

The available races seem to fit and KDF ships are, imo, some of the best and meanest looking, as they should be ;)

I have a 60 Fed in a T6 Kelvin Dreadnought, and hes fun to play from time to time, but overall I just like it more over on the KDF.

Then what if it were done for you? Delta and Temporal recruits got the perks of getting fresh gear every 10th level to carry them through a lot of the content. What if that were the case with Klingon Recruits, going all the way to level 60 (getting MK XII very rare at the end)? It'd help with the gear curve and get people to play KDF.

It is not getting gear that makes it a problem for most people.

It is the lack of variety of ships, lack of variety in playable races, lack of variety in costume options, lack of timely bug fixes....

And the biggest thing: that there will never be any more development of the factions for the future.
AND THE DEVS HAVE SAID AS MUCH...on record. You can probably find where they said they decided to merge everything, somewhere.
