I just got a reward box and it was very nice! I went to my next toon, and it looks like it's not available. I was hoping I could get the reward box for each toon, but I guess not.
An upshot worth noting is that you can complete the Endeavour on one character and (when relevant) transfer it to another who could use the resources more.

Rewards seem random. I only got some R&D resources and 50K EC. Which means alt-farming clickies are still way more worth the time put it, which is a boring grind, which means I play other games instead.

If you don't enjoy playing the game unless you get reward boxes then it sounds like it's time to take a break
Endeavor system is a small bonus for trying new things not the new farming spot.
The Endeavor system seems to BEHAVE as Per Account - the question is - Is that the CORRECT BEHAVIOR? I can't find any documentation that says its once per account. What I find happening is as I log into other characters, the system auto-fails the Endeavor mission and removes it from my log. It is so difficult to get accurate release documents?

I also got 1/4 of a spec point. 50k EC is not that much, R&D resources are something I have plenty of, but still, these are nice bonuses. And you only need to play a specific type of content. Not 14 times over like with the special events, but just once or twice to get 15 borg kills in this case... something most of us would likely have done anyway.
Considering how little we have to do for it, the bonuses are interesting enough for me.
According to the blog every few days... assuming we can't redo the same endeavour thingy multiple times.
I wonder if it'll reset based on the duration the task had (today's 15 borg ships was 24H, will we get a new one when that 24H is up? We'll just have to see....)
...my crate: 2x 100 Mark boxes, 1/4 spec point, 1000 dil, common R&D mats
(choice of mark boxes were thru Lukari, no Comp)
They reset every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, according to the blog, and run until the reset. Today's was 24 hours because we started in the middle of the cycle that would have started on Monday.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

How is it trying new things that are old content???
Since it's per account the metric for reward should be too. For example, I did Borg Red Alert and due to dps monsters half the npcs died before I could even get there to shoot them, so ended up with 7/15 and 9/15. My third toon finally did manage to tag 15 Borg before they died so finished the Endeavor. While not really an issue with 'kill 15 borg ships'; in the future if there's a harder metric to reach it might be nice if all my toons can contribute to the metric. The goal should be measured the same as the reward, imo.
First one was nice. Did the Borg Red Alert and Assimilate the Barbarians Deep Space Encounter and it was more than done. I received 1/4 spec point, 2x 50,000 ec and 2x 1000 Dil. Not bad for a little bit of time.
heh, did a Borg red Alert.... 14/15.... so I did a story mission I hadn't done yet, and got it the first time I shot a Borg ship. I dunno what the diff was, but after doing the Red alert, the Borg in the story mission seemed to be made of tissue paper.

It's my understanding that story-mission enemies are all made in a special origami shipyard, as they are balanced more around players who "did the episodes" but have not yet started farming marks and gear. Did the same thing You did to catch the missing 3 borg after two red alerts were smashed by Juggernauts before I could fire a shot, by the way.
Also, the reward box was generous for me, 2x50K EC, R&D stuff, 50 and 100 mark packages - and they are per account, so I can use them to boost new toons. I like that.
What I don't like is that it seems to be just that single tracker on screen, no calendar, no info panel to tell me about the reward, nothing. Dunno. Feels weird to have a panel on screen without info or options...
I like the fact that it seems to be once per acc and not once per toon. It makes the new system more of a fun side quest instead of yet another grind option to go for.
I hope the quest to do will vary in difficulty and rewards each day. Kill 15 borg ships was a bit too easy.
Hope cryptic uses this this heavily to funnel the player base through teamed PvE. If all of the 2k peeps or so that log each day would play a promoted map only once over it would be enough to bring live to the respective queue.
All in all this account quest is a fine addition to game. Well done Cryptic.

I agree completely.
Between DoFF'ing, Admiralty, Crafting/Schools, Marks and Reputations.. I have enough 'log in every day' tasks to do on each alternate. I like that I can just do it on my Main. The game doesn't need anymore daily grinds.

Borg in story missions are your level. Borg in the Red Alert are 59 (or 60) and you are leveled down to 50. Which makes them a little bit tougher.

Let's hope not, earning rep marks already pretty much forces players to do teamed PvE due to the lack of alternative means to gain the marks relatively quickly. As there are no time limits on getting those parks though, players who don't like teamed PvE and play strictly solo can still get them, it just takes a lot longer. The Endeavor system needs to have goals attainable by solo players within the short time limit given, not goals that can only be accomplished in time through team play.
Endeavor system is a small bonus for trying new things not the new farming spot.
Correction, the Endeavour system is occasionally a small bonus for doing the same things you'd do anyway (when it's on something you're already doing AND you get lucky with the RNG).
For any non-popular content, it's nowhere near enough to even compensate for time spent, much less a bonus of any kind.
Because the underlying reward structure of the game remains hopelessly lopsided and like most things, this just isn't enough. If Endeavour points you at something out of your way, better forget it and fly a round of CCA instead, it gives far more reward, more reliably and for less effort and time.
Truthfully, there are several things in the game that actually are easy, and give a decent reward, that used to be popular until people forgot about them, Like Defera.

I just did a Defera mission for the Endeavour and it did not have decent reward compared to time spent.

Elaborate please. context is needed for this statement to be useful for further analysis.

What context? The rewards are listed on the wiki if you don't know.
