PC and Console Patch Notes for 7/18/17

Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 7/18 at 6AM Pacific. PC will be down for 3.5 hours, while Console will be down for 3 hours. (What time is this for me?)

I recently removed Hyperonic Radiation from my set-ups, so the nerf will not affect me. I sympathize with those who do still use it.
Is this a mistake or are console players going to effectively lose access to these two ships without gambling with immense amount of Dil? I'm not even a console player and I feel ripped off for them if that's the case.
It's the same as the situation in PC land: I wasn't around when the Breen Plesh Brek was first available so I have to look to the Phoenix box too (or wait until later this year for the T6 version).
If a console player didn't complete the last Winter/anniversary event project then they have to gamble for those ships by buying Phoenix boxes, which is exactly what would happen to a PC player in the same situation.
I don't think you understand what exactly is happening. This isn't an issue of them having already got the items, this is a situation where they HAVEN'T had access to them yet and WON'T be able to without gambling. The console players wouldn't have had the option to have done these because they are being added to the box before they were even an option to get because console got last year's offerings. The best way to illustrate this would be if the Winter ship from this year's event was put into the phoenix pack for PC next month. You would never have had the opportunity to slot the ship because it was put into the box before even being introduced to the game. Console has never had the opportunity to ever get these ships and won't now outside of gambling, that's not ok.
They never said that console players will never get a chance to get these ships any other way, they just are patching them into that reward box across all platforms and you're assuming the rest.
Although this wouldn't surprise me either if they did do what you are thinking. The way console players spend is a little bit different and also the population for this game on consoles is not the same either, they have to do stuff a bit differently there in order for the game to remain economically viable on consoles.
In Marvel Heroes which also just released console versions - all of these costumes that us PC players always just buy straight out in the shop whatever one we want (each and every one of the many costumes) are going to be only available for lock box random draws for console players. It may seem like a rip off without knowing the entire situation but it's not as simple as just doing the exact same thing there, there are too many other factors involved in the decision that we may not see right away looking at it from the outside.
I'm not assuming anything, it's literally the first line of the boxes themselves. "Open this package for the chance to win exclusive items no longer accessible anywhere else in the game!" If they've been added to that box that means they will no longer be available anywhere else.
Console players should have had the opportunity to access those two ships the same as PC, not having to gamble for them. The fact that they no longer have that option is wrong regardless of how you want to spin it about "console's being different." If anything I'd have expected PC to get shafted with the RNG nonsense instead of Console.

The Rezreth DN was the Winter ship, the ships in question haven't hit console yet

That is the F2P business model.... That and endless grind because you must incentivize people to spend money. Just sayin....

well if u r pc. you had a chance to earn them.. we don't even get the opportunity.
I agree to this..
If you want a bad F2P model try SWTOR..You'll run away very very fast and see STO as an ultimately better F2P option..
