Competitive Marks not available from bird/monkey turn-ins

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
The mark choice packages from turning in Risian tropical birds and feather monkeys do not offer Competitive Marks as a choice. (I realize that the reputation is very new, but in previous years, it was possible to make progress on the most recent reputation by raising birds and monkeys.)

    Can confirm issue. Just tried to turn in some monkeys and birds today.

    Hi folks! Competitive marks are missing from those boxes by design. Since Competitive War Games is a PvP-centric reputation, we thought it would be inappropriate to award them for PvE content.

    We could get the War Game marks from the Mirror Invasion event and that was PvE.

    This really is where I start going, "Be consistent."

    If this is PvP-centric, the only place these should be found in is the queues that support it.

    This means:
    1) Take the option out from any/all PvE queues that award a choice of any Marks, counting Red Alerts.
    2) Take the option out from any Multiple Choice reward boxes, if they're found in any.

    If you're going to have it in any form outside of PvP, they need to be rewarded from Bird/Monkey/Eppoh turn-ins.

    I may disagree with a standard (I do believe they should be part of multiple choice rewards at some point), but choose one and go with it. Your reasoning doesn't track with current practice.

    Wait a sec... isn't the Power Board Race and the Biathlon both "Competitive PvE"????

    I understand not getting the choice of Competitive Marks from the Bird Eggs....but for turning in Monkey tags??? That is from Competitive PvE. Isn't it?

    well that's disappointing for my compulsive disorder. i was hoping to build up to 3000 marks on each character as i do with all reps - to just let them sit there forever happily and complete. now there is no point in raising birds or monkeys. guess i'll stop....

    That's a real shame. These types of events have always been a great alternate way to obtain Marks. That's the case here for me. I have little interest in the competitive PvE queues (plus according to these forums, actually getting them to kick off is a challenge).
