    Another concern is how long it takes to prepare the anti-tachyon pulse. Perhaps part of that is charging its... for lack of a better term... capacitor banks; in such a scenario each interaction with an energy collector could present the choice of diverting power to defenses (what normally happens) or capacitor banks (shaving X seconds off the prep time).

    A simpler scenario would be that after the spinal lance is activated, activating a collector speeds up the pulse charge.

    Well I've already seen plenty of people afk in the event, and one that was using an exploit where they were constantly leaving the group and rejoining, at first I thought it was a bug bug then they suddenly joined properly just as the Dreadnought spawned, then I knew it was some sort of exploit to get out of actually doing any hardwork.

    I really want to see a vote kick button as afking in these events is way too common in STO, it makes a mockery of other people putting in the hard work and actually bothering to play the event. Exploiters and afkers should not be rewarded, in fact they should be banned.

    i have never gone afk in 6 years and tens of thousands of queues. if they added a troll button i would never queue up again. would much rather have 4 afk and let me do the mission.

    While the idea of a Vote Kick Button seems appealing, I would worry about those same trolls abusing it to kick people from the queue for no reason other than to mess with them.

    Things I want in STO:

    1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
    2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
    3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
    4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
    5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
    6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
    7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
    8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

    That's a good idea in addition to being able to choose whether each interaction with a collectors powers defenses or the pulse charge - this way, the collectors remain relevant throughout the run.

    That's a good idea in addition to being able to choose whether each interaction with a collectors powers defenses or the pulse charge - this way, the collectors remain relevant throughout the run.
    I think the best change would be to make it a matter of closing X number of rifts. that way people can't just sit around and stare at the station, also, it'd make it so that good teams get things done faster.

    Trouble is with Thursday's patch that is moot. The Rifts will spawn until the Timer runs out.

    I support this..Also they most of the times stay away from everything and stay put or remain cloaked while the remainder of the group does the work..Also I have seen two players often do this together..Past two days I have been DC'd cause of a power outage at my end and so happened to spawn in again and notice players remaining under cloak say I should be kicked despite being in the middle of a sea of red blips on the mini map..AFKers need to be kicked..

    Someone mentioned dropping the marks to zero if Waffle Station is disabled so let me respond by stating unequivocally that it would be disastrous for the other players on the team that are trying. I have run the mission every day for the last ten days on all of my alts (never again) and it does happen. I get immediately annoyed but there's nothing else to be done and you just push through. Zeroing the marks would punish the afk players but will also punish everyone else on the team as well.

    A few things in the mission that could use a change though. First disable the enemy warp core explosions from interfering with us closing the rifts. On that same note if our ship is hit but undamaged that should also not stop us from closing a rift. Second, remove the 'Mission Info" tab once the mission starts. We have a minute briefing at the start so we don't need the tab and it becomes a hindrance. The 'close rift' tab pops up under this at distance to the right of my screen but once I get closer it switches to center screen. But if I was trying to close the rift I occasionally get Obisek telling me about waffles or something. Those few seconds count as more target dummies fly through that we have to kill.

    Other than that I have grown to despise this mission and will not do it again next year. Unless it is made an account unlock.

    if your ship gets hit, you are ALWAYS going to take damage because of shield bleedthrough, unless you have immunity active, temporary HP or that console off the steamrunner that gives perfect shields active, and if any of those are true, you already don't get interrupted when getting shot​​

    I'd be happy if they just remove the warp core explosions from interfering with closing rifts.

    What's the delay in the appearance of the Dreadnaught for after the timer runs out?

    It still takes some time for the Dreadnaught to appear.

    Isn't the excessive Mission briefing timer enough?

    That delay is where they used to have the cutscene of the Phase I Terrans getting thrown back to their own universe and the Dreadnought coming through with its entourage. They removed the cutscene but left the time it took to run it.

    The opening wait is not a minute it is 75 seconds.

    Well I have had some AFKers too, sent in a report to get the automated response, then as advised I place those AFKers on my Ignore list so I wont have to be grouped with them again. That is a remedy but I feel it is a bandage type approach.

    I had also seen some of players, far fewer though, doing that jump in & out of group "exploit". I had thought it was exactly as mentioned earlier some technical glitch, at first, till near the end when all is near done & they remarkably seem okay or they are always okay somehow to select Need for loots LOL.

    If there was no negative affect upon players when others do this AFK then I wouldn't mind, but there is a hindrance. I wish Cryptic, once a AFKer is verified, they get a warning but then the next verified exploit that is caught they simply lose credit for the whole event losing the potential completion reward. Not for that day but for the whole event! There has to be a due process though to make sure for loss connections & such innocent circumstances.

    What I admire witnessing is the players doing groups for the Mirror Invasion event but purposely doing AFK. That is doing it the proper way.

    Otherwise, this Mirror Invasion event isn't the best but I like it & think it is good fun for 15-20 minutes. Then again doing it for "##" of characters could be tedious.

    Worst event in STO because award is not account wide. Should be an option to unlock award for 1 event item without 50k dilituim. Today on 10 runs 12 afkers. After this event I need a break from STO. Thank God Risa event is account wide :)

    This is a very tiring event, finally got it done. Closing the endless rifts is the worst part you just get overwhelm eventually as the rifts spawn too fast. So far I have not seen any AFKers but many ships (players) start to circle outside and peck at the enemy when there are too many ships. Most of the advance I have done the station will die, only 2 out of 14 the station will stay alive. That the only objective that will fail. Too many enemy ships and endless rifts. Will not play the rest of the event need a break as the next event risa is starting soon.

    It was announced on FB that another day was added to this because of the tech downtime on that day. But see nothing about that over here.
