...are just cruel. I saved and grinded to get my T5-U's and now T6's have been released? The T5-U's should have just been upgraded, because it's just plain nasty to make our once precious ships suddenly second-rate.
I bought every T5 ship that was a warbird I could before the T-5U's hit. I saw the T6's get released initially as well with the intel warbirds. The writing on the wall was there from the start and I decided to not invest in T5-U's unless it was a freebie. The only down side was being stuck with limited ships till Cryptic/PWE got around to making the updates. Now they're doing it. Just think about when they get around to T7 and plan your purchases accordingly.
At some point, people are going to have to let go of their T5 and T5-U's. T6 has been a thing for almost 2 years now. That should have been more than enough time to adapt. All new ships are going to be T6's. They will never release another T5 or T5-U.
I continued to fly T5-U's for about 6 months after T6's were introduced. While I saved up for T6's. Now, all 10 of my characters except one flies a T6. Even that one character that doesn't fly a T6, is flying a T5-U Ferengi Marauder, and has exactly zero issues playing everything, staying alive and keeping up. There was/is no need to "upgrade" T5-U's. They're fine as is. Players should be looking to move to T6's by now,... T5/T5-U is a dead end.
How long exactly are they supposed to prop up T5's and T5-U's for proponents of them to be happy. Even Microsoft, the very definition of legacy in the PC world, cuts off support for older OS's eventually.

Roughly half my characters still fly T5-U ships with zero performance issues. Whenever they come out with T7 ships, I'll still likely be flying T6 and T5-U ships until T7 ships similarly become more prevalent.

Agreed! PvP issues notwithstanding, many of the T5-U's are some of the games better ships.
For me...I don't mind there being T6's, but to rerelease a T5-U as a T6 and not just upgrade the previously released one, does wind me up. I adore my Mobius, but if they go and release the ship as T6...

Love that ship too, but i have no problem getting the T6 version, i have it for 2 years, so it was a good investment, a T6 will be a good investment too

Get ready to be wound up because they're going to since they've been doing it to all the other lockbox and lobi ships. It's just a matter of time until the Temporal Lockbox ships and the Temporal Lobi ships gets a T6 version. Just watch for when the console's get it and PC will get them about 3 months later in the Infinity box update.

Get ready to be wound up, because that is the way of things now. I even looked to see whether this was perchance a necro-thread, as this might have been a relevant topic like 2 years ago. Mind you, I was annoyed back when too, but I've accepted it, and moved on. And now (see my post above), I can't wait for them to replace all my old T5-U's with their T6 counterparts!
The Morrigu is probably one of the best ships for a tactical Romulan (and Reman) and also serves engineers very well. Should be ok for a science Romulan as well, but I have not flown that ship with a science captain yet since I prefer a ship with Commander science Boffs stations and more science console slots.
The Emergency Weapon Cycle ship trait is one of the best ship traits available from a C-Store ship.
My science Romulan flies a Morrigu on occasion, but I mostly use it as a regular escort since it only has 2 science console slots. It's a nice change of pace from space magic, but I like the Jhu'ael a bit more as far as looks go.

^^ All of this. I initially bought it for the Trait, but then found out it's actually quite a fine ship to fly.

The RRW Farore on my Romulan Engie is a Morrigu. I flew a T5 Mogai for quite a while, then got a Fleet T5U I believe. Then got the Delta Pack and flew the Warbird Battlecruiser and had to really buff the turn rate since I was so used to Mogai flying. Then I got the Morrigu and have been having fun. Got a Chronoplasma build on her right now.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I fly the Morrigu on one of my Romulans,... very nice ship as far as I'm concerned.
