With these ships' launch problems, a railgun that heals the enemies is hilarious, the impending balance changes heading our way, & them not getting an introductory sale price I am holding off on the purchase. Probably tomorrow's patch will fix the healing, let's hope for those railgun buyers, & definitely the balance changes in the future I don't want to invest in something to then lose all that invested effort on something I paid full price. Nice appearances on the ships, but they'll eventually be on sale so then I'll reconsider.
Speaking of sale, nice stealth Services sale today though I took some advantage of that so well done Cryptic. You should do a different category sale for every day of the event.
Is it just me, or does this not look eerily similar to the Asgard or Ori Beam weapons from Stargate SG1/Atlantis? What's with all the Stargate similarities, someone on the Dev team a fan secretly putting these in?
The color is definitely Asgard, but the pulse itself has more in common with the Ori than the Asgard - Asgard beams are uniform when viewed from a relatively short distance (though looking at the beam up close will reveal fluctuations, of course), while Ori beams thicken noticeably at the tip (and, conversely, fade or grow thinner towards the end).
(Admittedly, a quick Google search fails to provide clear evidence of the thickening part...)
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
