    To be fair, the bug wouldn't have existed had basic testing been done, but there you go.

    The EU gets double downtime, for double fails..

    Now I know what time to schedule an afternoon nap for.

    But honestly please ! please ! for the love of Star Trek improve your QC so things like this can be avoided. You have i.p and game that could be taken to a wider audience but things like this, and they happen far to often isn't good for the games public image.

    Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

    From now on maintenance will be done to fix one bug at a time.

    Cryptic did you forget about the warp in/out bug? The cursor bug? The b/officers not keeping up with captain bug? How about the animations bug in Vlugata Mines? Some of these bugs since Agents of Yesterday expansion yet you shut down the server for 2.5 hours for ONE recent bug? I'm sure there are folks here who could name alot more bugs that have not been addressed as well and yet nothing is done about it. Really disappointed with this nonsense already.

    Resolved an issue where the Heavy Escort Railgun was healing enemies instead of damaging them.

    How such obvious things are not being discovered prior to release will always be a mystery to me. I'm pretty sure though that this is not the main reason behind for this patch. There must an exploit somewhere.

    Oh come on...those of us with limited time can't get a break..I want the first day trait (explosive space TRIBBLE) but this stupid fix that should have some programmer/QAs head rolling means I'll have to sacrifice several toons getting it due to the narrow time window of the event and my own irl considerations.

    That is if you guys have a QA department (or its not manned by lobotomised chimps, at least) of course.

    I agree, this silly bug could have been patched during regular maintenance hours on Thursday - That is Thursday of next week.

    I wonder if the real reason for the downtime, is the unannounced C-store services sale?

    No, I don't think it could have waited until Thursday. Not when your brand new feature falls over at the gate. What's sad is that there's little outrage at this, just mocking; it shows we're used to this sort of thing by now.

    Da TRIBBLE?! seriously?! Man I've worked QA for a while at codemasters and globalstep..But damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn..This is way to ubsurd..1 bug 2.5 hours?? Come on..What are you guys really doing?? You ignore so many bugs that are game immersion breaking but this well gets a 2.5 hr down time?! Off the top of my head the disappear and warp back into battle bug, the UI bug, the pointer bug, the getting sniped through walls bug, the Boff not wanting to follow you bug, NPC getting stuck in space battles in missions bug, should I go on? I can make an excel sheet and give you the list..Just about to end my holiday on monday and wanted to finish my sci toon off..But guess what..

    So tired of this same failing by their team that does updates and patches. They obviously do not do any testing before putting them out. No, they want us to be the testers. Why pay an employee to do testing when we can just have the players do it.

    Answers why this gets fixed immediately rather than in a weeks time ?

    1. Its a C-Store item that requires a monetary transaction, that's if you haven't saved up enough dil to convert to Zen via the dil exchange.
    2. Its a new feature that was bugged right out the gate that at present can only be accessed by obtaining ship from C-Store.
    3. The bugs you mentioned were freebies given to us by yet more bad coding. It costs THEM money to fix those rather than us giving them money for this new ship and gimmick.

    I want this game to continue for many more years to come and i'll stick around until the servers are eventually closed down. But Cryptic you really need to get the house in order and cut out those mistakes. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing new bugs added to the game and existing ones like shrimphead2015 has mentioned just going unchecked.

    I wish they were this diligent when it comes to the ship separation bug. Those pets are still flying off to Siberia.

    Well too be fair to cryptic, this bug does cut into there profits, unlike other bugs in the game.

    lol..I just got a new one on Kobali Prime before getting booted from the game..I was running then fell thru with the ground and everything else (Hills, Water, Trees, NPC, Boffs) stayed way above me, and still I could get shot at.. :D

    Really guys? Do you really think that this one bug will take them 2.5 hours to fix? More likely this is the timeframe they are giving themselves to fix the bug and comb through the code to find anything else associated with the new feature and fix it in one go. You know, double checking.

    Oh and krazymainer, they do use us for testing. Or did you think the Tribble Test server was strictly for our benefit?

    I gotta admit it's quite impressive such an obvious bug has managed to make its way on Live. Testing the weapon for about 10 seconds would have been enough to notice the big green numbers floating above the targeted foe. But nope, it was missed, like the cloak on the Ferasan ship (because I find it hard to believe the Romulan counterpart gets one and not the KDF one).

    Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
    True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

    I believe you mean the First Contact Celebration Event. Otherwise, it's a valid point...

    I'm sure it's not just that getting fixed, and even if it was I'd rather them take the necessary time to fix it properly and not break 3 other things with a rushed hot patch.

    I wish the new ships had a separation mechanic or non-hangar combat pet to force them to fix it once and for good instead of having to mount a rally to raise awareness about every single ship in the category still being broken for months with the real risk of getting swept under the rug like the broken carrier pet commands have for years and counting.
