    I hope that these rewards are an account unlock. Not counting on it, but one can hope.

    sounds cool, but I guess the trait is limited edition and not an account unlock. Are the boxes it comes in account bound?

    This sounds a lot like the Sompek event, so I think the reward will be an account unlock. This should be fun. :grin:

    Yeah, it would be nice to get some clarification whether these are per character or Account Unlock like the Sompek Event.

    1) If these aren't account unlocks, it sucks.
    2) I'm guessing it's a 1 week event since 3 vouchers is 5 days so 4 must be 7.

    I think the Sompek event was poorly advertised. I log in nearly every day for rep clicking, and I didn't even know about the event until Saturday, and by then it was too late.

    Short events like this are stupid, there's not enough time to account for errors, scheduling issues, etc.

    That said, at least I know about this one this time, but then again you guys always do something for First Contact day; the Sompek thing was random and unexpected.
    If it's account unlock, I'll do this; if not I'll pass.

    The discuss in the forums button isn't working just opens the page again in another tab. Not sure if this is worth fixing, just thought I'd mention it.

    Yeah, I'll just wait in the line for asking the same question as everybody else: Account reward?

    If not, probably not worth the hassle for me to carry my gaming laptop around...
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Good question. Bonus points if, in addition to being usable in combat, it can be applied to deployed shuttles and fighters (in other words, making your carrier a phoenix nest).

    My guess is NOT Account Unlocked because of this, (from the news item linked in the OP):
    When you complete the queue for the First Contact Day event, you will receive a special Zefram Cochrane Memorial Hologram Voucher (limit one per day, per character). A minimum of 4 Holograms are required in order to receive a Special Event Prize Box that includes the following:

    If you need 4 vouchers to claim the prize, and you can get one voucher per day per character...sounds like any character who wants the goodies has to grind this 4 times. I'd be amazed if this is Account Unlocked.

    I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. :(

    Additionally, the in-game Calendar says they ARE also running Day of Honor and Republic Day, but the Blog makes no mention of it. Which is right?

    most likely the day of honor and republic day are gone :/
    would have liked to get the nanov and bat'leth for my romulan and kdf characters made after the last day of honor and republic day event
    but now we get to play with a federation based toy and ship disguise! so much better right? at least the trait will be somewhat useful

    At the moment it looks to be per-char, but it'd be nice if it was account-wide ('m sorta hoping it is).

    I have seen a number of people in various discussions assuming it's per character, but haven't seen any official word. Can we please get an answer on this by noontime?

    Yeah, it would be nice if the rewards were per-account and not per-character.

    Like the others, I'm guessing per-character due to the wording in the news article. Of course that could be a typo too, but I doubt it.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Any chance the servers can stop kicking every few minutes so we can do the event? No point queuing if we get kicked by constant SNR's and then by the time we get back in we get kicked from mission.
    Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

    IF this thread is the Official Thread for the "First Contact Day Celebration Rewards!", then why does the 'link' for the forums link to itself and not here?
    You heard me right: the 'forums link' on the article is its own url.

    And yes it should be stated clearly if these are earned per character or per account.
    I read it as Per Character. If this presumption is incorrect, a dev or gm should say so, clarifying the matter before people plan and budget their time.

    I did it on 5 characters regardless. It's a very nice a stress free celebration. Big thumbs up from me to the team for giving us this event.
