[j/k]"Fun"? You dare to have "fun" in this game and then come in here and brag about it? You do realize you've just painted a very large neon target on your back, don't you?[/j/k]
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
Oh an a healthy dose of Exchange PVP when i'm between missions. (gotta save up for these new T6 lobi/LB ships!)
Actually most of the time I just enjoy chatting with channel members and helping out newer players. And running some of the less well played queues or messing about with TSC members.

I enjoy taking my crew to Nimbus and terrorizing the wildlife there, and the Gorn in the valley, plus 1600 dil in 10 minutes isn't so bad. Craft random weapons to see if I get something good to sell on the exchange, or drop a few hundred EC on the dabo tables. Now and then I pop into Risa to fly my jetpack around when I don't feel like killing a truckload of aliens. There's usually something I feel like doing after I log in.
Ignoring the dps race is my fun - I build how I like with what I like and as long as it does decent damage (so as not to be a liability) I'll enjoy my insane builds from theta farting malons to my boomstick that punts mobs around the map to my absurdly fast builds that can do 1k impulse (used to be 2.3k impulse but high end stealth undocumented speed nerfs hurt) and get me accused of glitching the trench run
On ground I follow the same path, investing and learning how to use the unpopular/disliked ground weapons from the rommy flamer to miniguns to whatever looks intresting (the vaad assault debilitator is awesome if you build to its characteristics and use weapon switching actively) and of course the kit modules that have many varied and surprising interactions with each other
Beyond this, fun is the end product of work - so those who expect a grind centric game to be nothing but fun are bearing a strong misconception - if you work to an end, the result is the fun you seek.
I enjoy watching the troll wrestling matches on Risa sometimes. Sometimes reading the chat above ESD and laughing at the stupid conservations going on. Besides that I enjoy shipbuilding the most.

I still miss the old nebulae, when you could just go TRIBBLE around and explore the procedurally-generated worlds for a daily mission. Plus they were a good source of R&D materials. STO hasn't been the same since they took that away.
