Fluid Dynamics mission

is there any way at all to beat this? I have tried it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Now it's down to just me and no allies against the borg, making it impossible to finish. If there is something I'm missing, I haven't seen it. I know there is a way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the big ones, end with the smaller ones...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Tried that. Started with the cubes and got down to the command diamond. Kept getting blown up so many times that every time I respawned my fleet of allies got smaller and smaller until now its just me. Logging out and restarting doe snot help; its still just me against them. No chance.

Are you playing at Normal difficulty or did you change it to higher?

Also, you do not need to fight the Unimatrix death pickle.

Playing on normal. To my understanding all I need to do is beat the 3 borg cubes, the 3 spheres, and the command diamond. Those other enemies I leave alone.

Your support fleet will disappear if you use full impulse. Known bug since ages.

I took it slow this time. We got in there and obliterated the spheres and cubes, but then of course 4 of my support ships got stuck in the structure so there were only 3 of us against the command diamond. Kobiashi Maru.

If they are with you, I think they will only become disabled never destroyed. If necessary you can back off a little to heal while they get attacked in your place. Just don't go to far, if no one does any DPS for awhile because they are all repairing and you're hiding then the diamond will probably heal too.

The Borg Diamond has some abilities , you have to know a thing or two
then it is really really easy

The Borg Diamond has a ton of HP and good Resistances
so brace yourself for a long fight, and watch out for the following abilites

    - Tyken's Rift
    - Beam Fire at will for 30 seconds
    - Borg Shield Neutralizer
    - Scramble Sensors
    - Torpedo Spread
    - Feedback Pulse
    - a very very dangerous (short range!!!) Plasma Wave

keep your distance 7 to 10 km
    keep moving
have Heals and Brace for Impact ready as soon as Torp Spread Buff comes up
STOP Firing when the Feedback Pulse goes online

just did the mission , nothing changed

I finally finished it. I had all 6 support ships hitting it all at the same time and we brought the diamond down. Now that I finished this mission I can put it behind me. I appreciate all the help though:)

While I have your guys' attention, the game keeps pestering me with a mission that I put off because I am stuck on it. It's the mission "Second Wave." I got to the point where DS9 was under attack and I had to help the trapped npc's. It required a science officer to rescue the victim and I am playing a Tactical character. Then it requires an engineering character to rescue the last one. So I'm stumped. What do I need to do to move forward on this one?

ignore it and continue; rescuing personnel is an optional thing

don´t bother with the Bajoran NPC´s
just go forward and march through the Jem'Hadar
if you can take a hit and know where you have to go
it is even possible to run through the hole station just defeating the last room

This is an older mission design back when they would have separate sidequests for each of tac, eng, sci that are optional (here) or required (Mine Enemy). You do the one for your own profession, and ignore the other ones that you will not be able to complete.

For tacs I think the optional part is to pick up a weapon to give to one of your party but I could be thinking of the engineering one.

Let me guess the diamond cuts and runs leaving only you going mano y mano against it? because the fleet is all moving at the slowest speed possible?.

Have had that happen myself i managed to beat it after chasing it litterally all over the map until got stuck in the corner of the map :/

Never had a problem with the final fight, though it could be a bit of a slug-fest. Have had problems finding the USS Venture earlier in the mission. Was above the plane. I hate the 3-D pseudo set-up in this game and the cork-TRIBBLE flight mechanics needed to move through it. The other thing that could use improvement is the Sensor Scan. Let me find objectives consistently instead of always scanning for anomalies. If I was a Miner that's one thing.

That was pretty much what happened until finally I had all six of my support ships attacking it. They had managed to corner it in the structure fairly close to the other enemies. I had just returned from getting blown up for what seemed like the 10 millionth time and saw them wailing on it at 95% health. I joined in and we gradually brought its health down. It couldn't run away and heal, and for some reason it didn't shoot back at us. So all 7 of us just kept on it until it blew up.

Amen to that. I imagine locating enemies would be so much easier that way.
