Does anyone know a site or a place where there is an selection of good looking females characters having trouble deciding on what my tos era human female tactical officer should look (for xbox one)

    There are two predominant ways to play RPG/MMORPG's the way I see it.

    You can either project "yourself" into a character and have him/her be the virtual manifestation of your own self.
    Or...
    You can create a character with its own identity and history whom you journey "with" through all his/her adventures.

    The later isn't that much different from what authors do with their characters in the novels they write, but I've never heard people accuse them of wanting to "be" something or someone else.

    I'm a PC player, and honestly... just go with what you think looks good. If the Console Character Customization is anything like it is on PC... the sky's the limit.

    And there's hardly a need for it, really. The character creator is pretty darn good.

    In the Mass Effect series, btw, I remember huge databases existed for facial presets.

    Pretty much why I play predominately male. Doesn't mean I want to be male myself, hardly.

    Just want to see a nice male backside in front of my face.

    And I'll be celebrating my 57th in April :p
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    uhh... dude... you do know that the vast majority of female characters are played by heterosexual males right?

    Yeah, I've run into threads/posts like that on MMO sites for years. It generally comes down to one thing - whether a player sees the character as "themself" or not. Me, I just see the character as an action figure I'm pushing around on a game board - it's not 'me', so the fact it's a pretty woman doesn't mean that I want to wear a dress and go get reassignment surgery. /eyeroll

    (of course, usually it's a thread from some insecure fratbro who gets all angry cause that 'girl' he hit on wasn't one, and then runs to the forum to complain "omg, guy playing a girl! <homophobic insult>!")

    I've always been a bit of a tomboy, so it wouldn't be a stretch to say that my male characters, as diverse as they all are, could be extensions of that side of me.

    56 year old grandpa here myself, and most of my toons are Orion or Alien and female. Of course I am quite secure in my own masculinity........

    BTW, Orions and Aliens seem to have better range on the body sliders to make a female toon who's backside I can enjoy looking at whilst I play.


    As for the OPs question, I think it would be a great idea if there was a site where people shared their presets. I would love to be able to make my toons (mainly boffs) resemble various celebrities but I'm just not good enough. I'm sure i'm not the only one.

    STO Academy has some presets I believe you can download and add to your game files. It should have directions. The Sto Wiki also has slider pictures for species and characters like Crusher, Jem'Hadar, or Cardassian. Might have 7 of 9 too. Google is your friend.

    There used to be a site with presets for various NPCS, such as Admiral Quinn, but that was primarily for the foundry. Based on the ... 'things' ... I see at the exchange most would post something with max boob slider, min stomach, min waist, max height, and max leg length anyway. I honestly don't get that btw, it's like holding up a sign everywhere you go that says "hi, I'm a twelve year old boy!"

    Im a dude. Most other MMOs I play primarily female characters for various reasons, the biggest being that in WoW most male characters look like hulked up roid monsters and I want a more average body style for my characters.
