Well, I got the bundle, of course. I love Science ships, and having a T6 Vesta for every faction is awesome.
Also, those rich boys that buy ships just for the Admirality Cards? This is the ship set to buy! You get event penalty ignoring science vessels, the two worst nightmares for KDF and RR Admirality players solved in one big package!

Allied alien ships for the KDF have historically sold very poorly, hence the long droughts between.
The release of not only more KDF Science ships, but Gorn ships, represents a risky venture, even considering the skins are attached to ships that will probably be good (based on the old Vesta, anyway). Whether it's an educated stab at profit based on the performance of the last Science bundle, or a complete shot in the dark by devs with a bit of faith left in us, at the end of the day, Gorn designs are a gamble.
It's up to us to vote with our wallets.
Don't like the design? Cool! Don't buy it.
But for those of us that do, or even who don't like the Gorn ships but want to see Orion ships in the future - we need to show Cryptic that this gamble isn't as crazy as it looks. If you can afford it, spend the money. One ship, all three, the whole nine-pack, whatever you can justify. Money is the metric that can keep interesting choices like this coming.
With this in mind, do what's right for what you want. I know I will.
excellent point... I really dont care about the fed ships but if I can snag enough cash come my b-day I will definitely buy that mega pack for this exact reason.. Much like I got the cross faction sci one. If not I hop I can at least get the $60 gorn one.. I just bought the Romulan CBCs so I don't need anymore ships for them anytime soon. (ever lol)
I actually ended up grabbing the Gorn Engineering one last night. I am really enjoying her so far. With omly 3 feds and 3 Romulans, I am pretty good for ships on them, but my 7 KDF can always take advantage of expanding the fleet.
I like the Boff Layout,Consoke, and Trait of the Engineering one most, and of the stand alone hulls I also think the Engineering one is the most appealing to me. So not going to get the other two too Space Barbie, will save for the next big thing now.

did you happen to look to see if you could skin it as a varanus/phalanx/drauguas?
I didn't see the options, not even as a purchase option in the Tailor. All there was was 2 beige hull materials. Was hoping for at least a vet skin material, but KHG shields fix most oversights.

Sadly, it is too late for me to put time and money into the KDF.
I don't have a KDF character that would benefit from these ships, nor do I plan to put the time into the only KDF character I do have, to get it to the same level as my Fed characters..
They could have done more themselves for their sales by continuing with the routine practice of releasing T6 Ships and Bundles at T5 Prices for the first Weekend. That is instead of 12,000/6,000/3,000, 10,000/5,000/2,500.
And to dilute it with a simultaneous 20% off all Ships except...
Yeah that was pretty disappointing. Gotta wonder if they did that because they knew the ship sale and bonus Zen stuff would happen at the same time. Bean counters and whatnot whining that these ships gotta sell at full since they're already taking a bit of a hit with those things running.
At any rate, I got my mega pack. With enough to spare to get a Constellation while I was at it.
they put some really solid work into the fine details with the new gorn ships.. they provide some of the best canvass, for showing off 'any' of the rep set visuals, and are a most welcome addition to the kdf fleet. i sincerely hope they sell well enough, to encourage cryptic to consider an Orion pack.. would be a perfect opportunity for a new kdf carrier.

But not these. It's a crying shame that the modern Gorn and Orions ships where given designs that are so unappealing.
