I got it all set and ready to grind out the trait today. It looks really beautiful imo. I am running a torp/particle gens build, and was able to make up for the loss of the lt commander science slot somewhat by using an engie in the uni lt and slotting structural integrity collapse and endothermic inhibitor beam. I think it's going to be fine, and offer some variety. However, I did switch from the Eternal to try out this ship, and I can tell I'm going to miss the Temporal deconstruction beam gimmick as well as the hanger.
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

The real ugly business is the protomatter console thats part of a multi part set that unlocks its multi mission capabilities, however you have to buy the new multi mission bundle to get those consoles , the fact the ho'kunns' true potential can only be tapped by buying the bundle is just sad.
Same deal as the Samsar. Like last time, I'll wait for the next ship sale.
I have to do an extra post. Yes, for most people the boff layout may be a nagative against flying this ship. Having said that, if I can pull 35K-40K DPS with a ship that has:
1) No tac consoles
2) The sci tree topped off and just a couple of tac skills filled in
3) Non-damage related doffs
4) No FAW/BO/HY, just a single copy of TS3 (and it's a beam boat with a single torp on front).
5) No Iconian set
6) I suck at piloting and targeting and I'm the first to admit it. I know there are some game settings I should change and some things I should keybind but never have.
Then I'm pretty sure someone can slap a bunch of UR/Epic gear on this thing, fly it perfectly, and put out at least 50K DPS without breaking a sweat. The ship isn't bad, it just needs the right captain.
Quick tip for budget conscious cap'ns- I put the dyson secondary deflector on mine since I had access to it. Exchange can be pricey for secondary deflectors.
It's a SCIENCE vessel, it doesn't need space for BFAW or 3 engineering slots to survive or any of the other bangs and whistles you think are required for a DPS build. Because that's not what you need to get a good sci build. Seriously, if you're gonna try to fly it like a tac boat it'll fly like TRIBBLE. But if you build and fly it like a science boat it'll shine. I'd say 50k should be fairly easy if you know what you're doing. It maybe won't be as good as a T6 Vesta, Eternal or Daemosh etc. perhaps but it's gonna be a perfectly serviceable science ship.

Absolutely true. Nonetheless, this ship isn't for me. I trained her up, using primarily Photonic Shockwave 3 (with the Trait), GW, etc. Lotsa fun ensued. Still, I would have loved to have been able to slot at least 1 copy of APB or something (without giving up the BFAW2).

Yeah, this. OP just doesn't seem to know how to science.

Its a review of the ship its not like i punched your momma in the mouth, you dont have to get snarky about it.

Your review is subjective and displays signs of ignorance.
You weren't exactly helping, steve. Both here and in my thread in Builds, Powers, and Game Mechanics you have been, hmmm, somewhat less than courteous in your disparagement of the ideas of others.
Why don't we all take a step back, pause for a couple deep breaths, and try to resume in a more civil tone before this thread gets locked.

If the Dorito had room for a TS3, I would be doing the happydance. My point is just that the Engineering Lt Cmdr seat is a very poor substitute. SIC and Endothermic are right next to worthless.
None the less, lucho, you make good points, as always. You do know your stuff, and I respect you for it
Under the ugly would have to be that if you answer a hail in the ship it shows they were too lazy to think it might be a better idea to have the person on a single viewscreen rather than split across a pair of them.
Been testing it out myself, and I usually make some odd builds. Anyhow, I stuck some polarized disruptor turrets on it with override subsystem safeties 3. It's not exactly a dps queen, but it surely does shut things down quite quickly. To the point things don't actually hurt me on advanced.
With gravity well 3, vortex 2, energy siphon 1 and tbr 2 (with the pull doff), it does work rather well. I'm actually rather surprised how resilient the ship is and I've not even leveled it yet. But saying all that, there are better ships out there to use. But I feel this one is quite fun, then again. I tend to make whacky builds for kicks.
The seating is not that bad really. But I do miss torpedo spread 3, which is a big shame. I'm glad I stepped away from the cheesy build (pun intended) and didn't bother with bfaw.
To end this off, it's different, it's fun, but there are better ships. I'll stick with it for a little while, till I think up a new strange and whacky project on a different ship.
I can't wait to test mine out, but it'll be awhile. My desktop needs a new processor, which means shoveling some money to my paypal. Unless my S-I-L can find me one somewhere in his computer stuff.
My laptop won't run the game at all beyond just doing doffing or admiralty if I feel like wrestling with it. Just trotting around DS9 was a real struggle as the lag is horrible. At least I can do my arc quests since I'm attempting to save up enough zen to get the new sci bundle.
I did manage to unbox it and set it up with stuff I already had. Looks like it just might be a fun ship to fly when I'm able to get ingame. Just glad I was able to get it before my computer crashed. That morning actually.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.

I cannot stand the single image split view screen. A complete image on each screen would be fine.

If you look at the Lukari parts and bonuses, they seem to be focused on hull and shield regen bonuses and healing.
