I understand that you guys are computer programming types, but, here's a word to add to your vocabulary: Professionalism. It DOES state on the sign in screen AM, not PM. I know this is a small thing, but, really, it's not professionally excusable. It's careless. Please, I'm not bent the game is down, I'm bent that you can't get the time correct. Get your act together, please.
Guess the hamster bit it, someone had to run down to the pet store, and buy one on the emergency credit card. By the looks of things they were out of rodents so they had to use a turtle.
I look at it as a way for a different set of timezones to complain about how inconvenient the maintenance schedule is for them. I'm East Coast US, so this is actually happening around my dinner time so not much of an inconvenience for me. Even if I was being "inconvenienced" I'm still not one to complain because I really don't mind a little bit of suffering if it the downtime means something's [hopefully] getting fixed.
Something went horribly wrong. They are fixing it. Updating the banner for the launcher is low on their priority list.
Right. I imagine the thing that went horribly wrong was that they couldn't find anyone to come in early tomorrow to monitor the patch process, so they had to change it to this afternoon (their time) before they went home, at the last minute.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
I wonder if / when the QWW bugs will be acknowledged and addressed. I'd like to see the starbase decorations fixed and get rid of some epohhs that I can't turn in.

They all went home early so they could come in at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Then the janitor kicked over a mop bucket and flooded the power strip, and the server fried. Somebody had to jump back in his Prius and race back to the office, only to discover the RAID array on the server is now a melted and fused pile of smoking ruin. Right now they're re-installing FreeBSD on the old 486 they use as a print server, in hopes they can run the game on that.
Huh, weired...
I allways thought the 486 was what the gameserver runs on.
Judging from the 0.01% increments per second with which some maps load.
Allso, brilliant timing guys.
Maybe someone should do a "how to not do maintainance during primetime" youtube vid, because apparently that cant be
considered "minimum common sense and people dont need to be told so" anymore.
Not that this would have ever prevented someone from making pointless how-to videos, but this time at least someone
would (eventually) benefit from it.
On the other hand, TRIBBLE us EU guys, its not like EUTZ would have the largest number of potential customers or anything.
Allrighty folks, maintenance is complete. Thanks for your patience, and yes, this does mean no maintenance tomorrow morning. Enjoy the rest of your day/evening/quackinard.

The 60 seconds it takes to update the launcher should be the top priority.

SMOKE! Where's the picture?

Someone most likely reported an exploit, and they decided to do everything at once....

Any questions?
