@tacofangs, I have to admit that Lighting 2.0 is rapidly becoming vastly superior to the old 1.0 incarnation of the light system. I had my reservations -- and those were primarily based on very broken stuff, and what I perceived as an unwillingness to fix those. Now that you've taken the time to fix the most egregious errors, though, 2.0 is better, much better, almost everywhere. You even fixed the Dilithium Mine.

@tacofangs thanks for the side by sides! I had actually noticed the Romulan Bridge was better, the consoles themselves are still way bright, esp for someone trying to use them but overall the lighting is MUCH MUCH better. Thanks to the art team for their work!
Here's the re-updated lighting on the bridges mentioned above.
Again, please keep in mind that we are not always trying, nor can we 100% replicate 1.0's lighting. We're just looking for decent lighting in both modes. It still does, and always will look different between 1.0 and 2.0.
There are also a number of material differences you will see between 1.0 & 2.0 (notably the Vaadwaur viewscreen) these are not changes in lighting, there's something about how the material is being handled, and will have to be investigated separately.
The Fed & Klg Timeship bridges were also updated, but I was lazy and figured one was enough of a representative here. The Galor bridge was also touched up, but isn't looking right yet, so I left it out of the below comparisons.

i like 2.0 and think it's pretty amazing what they were able to squeeze out of this ancient engine. but then again, i spent some time adjusting visuals in 2.0...like bloom, gamma, brightness, and tweaks in my control panel for my card.

Heres what i think. lets make this or another thread into a screenshot thread. every time we see an area we feel is messed up, leave a before and after 2.0 here. that way taco can pop in here and see what needs fixed that he might have missed (its not like he can visit every map all the time) or say "shut up its working as intended you'll get used to the change". cause some maps, like ESD, needed it. god i was sick of the blue. there was never that much blue in star trek. in fed stuff anyway.
my own two cents though...ESD might still need a couple tweaks, the floor feels a bit too shiny in several places. and there are several spots where shadows disappear off the floor entirely like I'm running a lower quality version of the game than i am, with shadows turned off.
and hey taco? just a thought? with NX's being a T6 thing now meaning more people using them for longer....could we get an NX bridge? or interior? i'm sure Enterprise has some milestone coming up soon you could use as an excuse to release it, or something
