I want to care, but i can't. Tried to get in to get the freebies and can't. Came home from work early and got stuck doing a frikin 2GB update, and missed out on day 3 items. Now I remember why i left the game for almost 2 years!

*So want to love this game again.

Same thing has happened to me! First I tried on the Tribble server to goto Drozana station for the new item claims, the console wasn't even lit up like in the video I watched on YT. Then I've tried going there multiple times on Holodeck. Same, still no special items!! The console isn't even lit up like you'd find for mail and the exchange!! Did everything identical to the YouTuber I follow in regards to STO, but it's almost as if that again I'm going to lose out on something that at least the peoples videos I watch are able to claim.

You don't go to a console on holodeck for the giveaways. They're in the C-store.

Anyone else noticing that, despite Q saying that vouchers are available for sale in the Lobi Store, there aren't any there?
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.

    Things I want in STO:

    1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
    2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
    3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
    4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
    5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
    6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
    7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
    8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

Something that be NICE to see in Star Trek Online 7th year. What you say @ambassadorkael#6946

We've seen many allies release their own T5 Ship's in the past. As the strength's of those relationship improve it be nice to see any T6 release result in unique FEDERATION or KLINGON Ship Design's that has a familiar Faction look & feel; however, is influenced 1/3 by their joint allied races design teams who consult on the project.

An Example of what might result from these joint design teams:
Andorian's partner with FED to produce a Ship that resembles 2/3 FED design with 1/3 influenced by Andorians.
Caitian's partner with FED to produce a Ship that resembles 2/3 FED design with 1/3 influenced by Caitians.
Nausician's partner with KDF to produce a Ship that resembles 2/3 KDF design with 1/3 influenced by Nausican's.
Gorn partner with KDF to produce their first KDF Ship that resembles 2/3 KDF design with 1/3 influenced by Gorn.

It be a FUN challenge to STO ship designer's to produce a familiar faction design that takes elements inspired 1/3 by their allies to make a unique new faction Class of Starship. It will demonstrate how each faction is former stronger allies prior to the 31st century where everything eventually falls under a single banner. Perhaps even allow the community to be polled on which FED or KDF ships or design elements they'd like incorporated to influence the new class. Of course Andorian's submit their Escort, Caitian's their Carrier, Nausican their ... but it doesn't mean each new class will be a Escort, Carrier, or ... ;)

Since each allied race would only consult on a single class of Starship or two ship's for each faction in total, perhaps both might feature a Universal Commander slot (no specialization) with a good balance of console's: 4 ENG, 4 SCI, 3 TAC or similar. Designed to fulfill a multi cross capability role.

It be FUN to see the choices designers make as they made some while perhaps some posted as a POLL in the ARC FORUM for people to vote directly, not Vote via hashtag's to encourage engagement on the ARC FORUMS. :)

    Happy anniversary.
I like the news and stuff, but I can't find any info on the event duration again.
Is it so hard for those who write those newsletters to remember putting in the basic info like start and end of the event ?
When does the event end ?

How is it, you can leave the event up for Console, and then hours before it is scheduled to start...you just remove it, and not even say anything?

Are all of the devs off snorting blow or something, the freaking calendar had the date for a MONTH. And Next week more info? Fk you, why not NOW?????

Or, given that they JUST ported it over to console, there are gonna be programming issues. Had they ported over the entire thing en masse and given it to you, the fundamental differences between PC and console programming could have broken the game entirely. Now nobody's saying that it's not their fault, because frankly it is, but you apparently know jack all about how games are made. Usually when a game is released on multiple platforms, they develop those platforms simultaneously to get the most similar programming code in there and work out the bugs as they appear.

STO has been out on PC for SEVEN YEARS already and has seen numerous additions, patches, and content changes in that time, all of that exclusively for PC and using PC style exploits and programming to make it work. Now, to get all of that ported over to console and have it work perfectly the first time is not going to happen. It just isn't. There's too much to do, and frankly, the fact that their doing it after seven years on an F2P game that they work on essentially for no profit is a miracle in and of itself and shows how dedicated they are to it. So sit down, shut up, and let them work. If there's an issue, bring it up POLlTELY and they'll listen. Talk to them like you are here and I can almost guarantee you will be all but ignored.

fyi pc and xbox1 programing are about the same so it shouldn't have been that hard to port it over so don't give us that bs about its had to do something when realy its not it just show how laze so game devs are look at world of tanks its been ported over with no major problems and runs on all 4 console's maybe cryptic and playworld should take a good long look at that game and ask how it works just fine then look at their game and try to do the same thing al us console players are asking for is that the know bugs and TRIBBLE get fixed that's not to hard to do and form some one from cryptic or playworld to say something of then we are looking in to

I've been wondering about this one myself. If I remember correctly, the anniversary accolade last year was bugged, but eventually fixed. Same story this year, perhaps?

I also have a question about 6th Anniversary Tokens and the Event Buyback Store. It's been the usual practice when events like this roll around, that retired tokens can be spent in the buyback store. I've got a few characters with leftover tokens from last year's event, but no sign of the buyback store. Is this an oversight, or working as intended?

This just goes to show why I keep telling people that console devs need to stop trying to port games, stop making new IP's, and just focus on making as many call of duty clones as possible. It's all most of the console playing demographic can seem to handle as almost every single one I've seen, barring a few nicer players, have just constantly been cursing rage balls who don't seem to grasp anything beyond "Being an TRIBBLE about everything will make everyone agree with me and get everything I want done because everything is easy because I say it is! TRIBBLE anyone who says differently!".

Okay, it took me over an hour to decipher what you were saying due to the terrible grammar and horrific spelling. I'm just thankful it was typed and not handwritten, as I fear it would look like it was written by a doctor in the middle of an epileptic fit.

The comparison to World of Tanks is a poor one. WoT uses the BigWorld Engine as opposed to the Cryptic Engine, developed in-house by Cryptic and used by STO, Champions, and the other similar games. The BigWorld Engine was developed by their parent company separate from Wargaming, who developed WoT. So right off the bat you have two separate companies with the resources of two separate companies to solve issues that arise. On top of that, WoT is not as involved as STO in terms of gameplay nor is it the same style of gameplay. Simply put, STO is at least an order of magnitude more complex than World of Tanks.

However, I don't know why I'm talking to you guys about it, given that your responses have been borderline inflammatory, highly insulting of the people who provide the content for free, very much disruptive, and, of course, barely intelligible to those of us who actually completed fifth grade.

Tell you what... since STO sucks on console SOOOO MUCH that you're willing to go online to complain about it, why don't you just play it on PC so you can have your full STO content. That, or just quit. Either way is a win for the rest of us because we don't have to listen to the two of you whine like babies because the devs can't do in a month for console what they did in seven years for PC.

    Good day, sir.

WTF guys, the anniversary event for those of us on the consoles who made it a flagship year was a fking BUG and that we will get more info next week? Are all of the devs off snorting blow or something, the freaking calendar had the date for a MONTH. And Next week more info? Fk you, why not NOW?????

To extrapolate from another famous franchise: "Patience, young Padawan. The devs are like The Force. They will give us what we need when we need it, not necessarily what we want when we want it. Forcing the issue leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering without access to the game.

I have to say "go frak yourself" because this fkup is entirely their fault, rightfully so. They give us NOTHING that we need. You know what we've been needing? A tailor system that ISN'T broke. Or the last two missions to "Future Proof" so we can fking get temporal operative. But what do we get? No communication. This STELLAR LEVEL fuckup by devs saying that "no, you console proles don't get the anniversary event like the rest of the family. We won't even give out info on WHY we fked it up, because apparently saying ON OUR OWN CALENDAR that you'll be getting it today WAS A BUG. Now, go fk off, PC deserves all the love"

Talk to them like you are here and I can almost guarantee you will be all but ignored.

fyi pc and xbox1 programing are about the same so it shouldn't have been that hard to port it over so don't give us that bs about its had to do something when realy its not it just show how laze so game devs are look at world of tanks its been ported over with no major problems and runs on all 4 console's maybe cryptic and playworld should take a good long look at that game and ask how it works just fine then look at their game and try to do the same thing al us console players are asking for is that the know bugs and **** get fixed that's not to hard to do and form some one from cryptic or playworld to say something of then we are looking in to

    Good day, sir.

frist of all wargaming uses their own made servers and second of all I have tried to download and play this game on my gamming pc and guess what it don't work can't get past the the patching screen and all my stuff is brand new and I have over 100 mag and now look at the age of pc gamers on this forum its rather funny like the little TRIBBLE up there calling names
