soooo you release a new expansion in the summer and when you try to do the aniversery event with a AoY toon, you can't get into a system where you need to get to get a partlicle, brilliant.
First, only TOS characters have a problem entering Wolf 359, second this bug was obviously not discovered prior to now or it would have been patched at the same time that the patch came in to let TOS characters enter Andoria, third it wasn't patched on friday most likely due to the need to patch the new Tzenkethi BZ and therefore will probably be patched on thursday if not sooner, fourth even if it takes until thursday there is enough time to complete the event which only requires 15 daily missions plus 1 run of the FE and the event runs until Feb 23rd for those that refuse to just switch to a non TOS character now.
One final note, anyone who thinks other games don't have these kinds of issues I invite to look at how many bugs had to be fixed in Destiny on the Xbox in its first monthn and that game isn't free to play, or the massive rollback of in game cash to GTA Online followed by multiple attempts to control exploits in the game which spanned over a year.
Actually, it is a known bug among some folks, just maybe not by the ones that matter. My supposition is that that has changed by now.
The Reddit & NoP players were who I first heard talking about it. I never had a need to take my AoY toon there until Q said so on day 2 of the thing. I only lost a day, so...yeah. Aggravating, but not game breaking imho.
I believe that Cryptic will fix it just like you said, and choose not to comment because it's a non-issue; at least for now.
I didn't say they don't know about it, just that by Friday morning last week they may not have known about it or have had the ability to try to patch it & the Tzenkethi BZ at the same time.
Priorities. I get it. No need to split hairs over who "they" are, but I did allude to it being the ones who would have the power to do something about getting it taken care of correctly...which may or may not fit into your whole awareness/capability continuum. The information has been there a while now; everyone wasn't aware, but it didn't matter until it mattered. Which is kinda like now.
Resolved an issue which was causing portions of the Tzenkethi Battlezone to not reset correctly and block progression after beating the final encounter for the first time on a map.
Resolved an issue that was occasionally causing a crash on the ground portion of “Of Signs and Portent”.
Resolved an issue where the Elachi S'ateth Escort was not available in the T6 ship rewardpack of the Resolved an issue where 23rd Century captains could not get into Wolf 359.
Weekend events have been added for February.
Added the correct image for the Anniversary ad in the mission journal.
I said in a few other of the plethora of Threads on this subject that they were aware as they Tweeted that over the Weekend and were working on a fix.
For my two cents I believe there were areas in the huge codebase where the TOS Characters were treated as an 'enemy' Faction. I know during the Summer with my TOS Character I took that unlabelled Transwarp Location in the list thinking it would take me to the Vulcan Sector. I ended up in the Qo'noS Sector instead.

Hurray!
