Wolf 359 - TOS Fed can't enter to do Omega scan...

so I guess I need to drop quest and wait for clock to refresh for new mission location...

    I got them on Bajor but I can't enter Wolf 359. Silly that they don't test this stuff. They need to stop using the holodeck server as the beta test and Q/A this is getting to be ridic. Why not go back to old way and do a day or two with a small reward for trying out new parts so they can find errors before release. Very sloppy.

    I had to go to a different map instance for DS9 (ground). Nothing was spawning on map 3.

    Just remember, if you pull Wolf 359, you'll probably have to drop the mission. I don't remember the details, but there was a problem with it last time they did the Omega event.

    They playtest it on Tribble. If you want to help the game, you can always go there and sign up to hunt bugs.

    Workaround

    Drop the daily mission if you have it up.
    Go to and enter the Wolf 359 system.
    Hail Q from inside Wolf 359 and get the daily.

    This worked for me, hope it does for everyone else, already posted this in another thread.

    Unfortunately, as of this writing, this no longer works for me, and at least 5 other TOS players based on current zone chat. I do hope they fix this soon.

    You can't get into Wolf 359.

    The location is one of many selected randomly when you acquire the mission. If Wolf 359 pops up on your list, you WON'T be able to complete it. Drop the mission. It's just taking up space on your list and can never be completed until you get a list of locations you CAN get into.

    Here's a list of the known locations. Wolf 359 was closed around the time they got rid of some other stuff. I actually don't know if anyone has been able to get in since then. As I haven't bothered with it, since it was a dead area anyway, I can't say for certain. Trying to remember if a mission was attached to it or not. Drawing a blank.

    but from what they said above in this thread, you should still be able to enter it without the mission on your list. As it wasn't on mine, and the toon I'm using is TOS, I've not run into an issue with any locations yet.

    Point: if you have a problem with a location, first try going to a different map instance. Omega particles were not spawning on every map.

    I am experiencing the same issue on TOS toons that get Wolf 359 on the Omega scans as well.

    They have known that the Wolf 359 is not accessible to TOS/AoY toons since last summer and haven't fixed it yet.

    I had no problem with Wolf 359 last year. It was another map that was not spawning particles. Haven't gotten Wolf this year so I don't know if it's screwed for me yet.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Haven't got Wolf 359 on my AoY toon yet, but I did notice that I can't enter the system regardless. Hopefully I don't get that one until after its fixed, cause that's the toon I've been running the ship unlock on ...

    AOY toon here and unable also to access Wolf359 x It seems to be RNG that selects the planets to go to.

    Yeah, it's random where you're supposed to go, and waiting a bit if you get a broken one will reset where he sends you. We had to do that a lot last year when Bajor was broken (I think it was Bajor)

    There's a whole other thread on this. Switch to a non AoY toon before you get too much invested or run out of sufficient time. There's no guarantee they will fix anything or extend deadlines.

    While a deadline extension is certainly nothing to count on, I think a bug of this magnitude is certain to be fixed rather quickly now that it actually impacts something important

    That is preposterous! People DO play on Tribble test server before content patches. They DO report on the bugs found there. The bugs just aren't fixed by the time the content is released. They absolutely refuse to fix those things. They absolutely refuse to delay launches until things are corrected.

    You comment is borderline victim blaming.

    Also, my AoY toon is unable to access wolf 359. People say "switch to another toon". That is borderline victim blaming too. Why should I have to change toons to do my daily? I want to do all my stuff on my AoY toon. I heavily invested in this toon so he could be my new main toon, this toon is where all the stuff happens now. I don't want to switch.

    Instead of saying hey, you, the player, needs to change, how about demanding a fix from Cryptic instead? You know, the people who caused the problem in the first place? Just saying.

    @Tacofangs has already stated that content additions have a deadline and they are short-handed so things don't always get done they way they would wish. Or something like that. I'm not quoting. He can comment on that rage post if he so desires, though I can't see that happening.

    Refusing to do something and being unable to do something are two different things.

    Also, if you noticed, I wasn't directing the comment to those who do work in Tribble. Reading a flat statement and then getting confrontational about it, merely reflects badly on the one failing to understand what was said. Generally, we ignore this type of blowup, since we already understand the problem, which, sorry to say, isn't what you've just posted.

    Btw, has anyone been able to get into Wolf 359 since before last summer? I'm not referring to any missions there, but the zone. Pretty sure it's been inaccessible for a while.

    I managed to on a non AOY toon, but have started collecting and investing on my AOY toon aside from others. So can understand frustrations that are caused.

    Since some people have said the solution that works for them is dropping the mission then going into the zone to pick it back up, I'd say that at least those people can get into Wolf 359.

    Bajor space. It WAS doable, but the particles were hidden in a mission version of Bajor space and not the social zone.

    The mention of them being short handed begs the question: if they just had their best year ever, why don't they hire some more people?

    Try pulling that TRIBBLE (making other people do half your job) in your workplace and see how long you last.

    Well, my AoY Character that was going to do the unlock did the FE and one day of the Omega then got caught by Wolf 359. I was also running a Federation Character (at the time Level 31) (and my only non-60) through the FE to get loads of XP and the Space Equipment. That Character has taken over the helm and is on target with 560 Thingamajigs.

    The AoY Character will continue its task of leveling up and unlocking the Lukari Reputation and leveling up the Mastery for its Kelvin Constitution. The other Character (now at 49.5) could definitely use the XP and Dilithium awarded by the Omega Daily.

    They did Tweet out on Saturday that they were aware of the Wolf 359 problem and were working on a fix. Makes me think it will be released early this week. Still plenty of time to complete the Anniversary on your AoY if you couldn't or wouldn't adapt to the mess at hand.

    Always seems to be one issue or another every year for the Omega Event.

    This bug really sucks. I have dropped the mission and picked it up again, but I keep getting Wolf359.
