To those who worked on the new episode's ground map, excellent work, it looks awesome. By the way, the cut scene where your toon starts hitting the tricorder because it's not working, hilarious.

agreed it was a beautiful map, I found it amusing that everyone is chilling but my Admiral Leeta holo-boff is the only one with a gun standing there at ready
Hell i enjoyed all of it Lodek was just as i remember him the maps were great the only thing i had issue with was the Tenkethi and their ships were not very strong they went down easy, however i have only played it on my main so far who is well built.

Glad you guys are liking the new map. The art side of it was mostly done by David Lopez (DLopezDev, I think?). He's been on board for about a year, and has done some great work in that time.

It's a beautiful map, very nice work
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

I am very happy with the Tzenkethi inclusion into STO. The species themselves are visually impressive, walking tanks you don't want to mess with in ground ops and starships that match their species traits. I love the idea of a less expansive empire or organization than the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, and Cardassians but one you don't want to tangle with. The All Our Crusades piece added real depth to the Tzenkethi culture and I loved the whole "Paths" concept. This season ads fun gameplay but also new lore and depth.
Yeah, the new map was absolutely beautiful. I may have my complaints about the game, but I've always believed the art in STO has been one of its merits.
By the way, the cut scene where your toon starts hitting the tricorder because it's not working, hilarious.
I laughed so hard when I saw this. Got a flashback of when I was a kid way back in the 70's of my dad doing this to our old tv when it acted up. Funny part is, most of the time it worked! Thanks for a fond memory and the great artwork.
I don't care what the header says, I am not now, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be, an "ARC user".
Haven't been able to play the new content yet, so I'm rather disappointed to see this thread full of spoilers. You should have tagged this thread and used the spoilers hidey.
The small touch that I REALLY appreciated was the very short cinematic in which the Tzenkethi ships intially approach the player vessel. I think it's about a 5 second video. Very well done and really creates a more impressive visual for the player.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
All of the Lukari related storyline missions have been impressive from a visual standpoint. They have all been impressive from a gameplay standpoint as well. The latest featured episode's ground map shows what the Devs can accomplish when they really want to. The Tzenkethi are not too shabby, either. I enjoyed everything about them. I look forward to seeing them more often. I did something I haven't done for quite awhile when playing 'Of Signs and Portents' - I had fun while playing STO.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
Wonderful map, and whomever was responsible for General Rodek also did an awesome job. He even moved "right". I don't want to spoil anything but that scene looked really good. Thanks all for the fun and the feels.
Map artwork was great I'll reiterate the others here.
But what really got me was how the map topography and elevations were used in such a smart way.
It may seem like a small thing to praise, but following the waterfall down the hill was a great use of elevation and immersion !
Great developer trick used there to make the world feel more alive with wild terrain. Excellent work.
I also hope we get more more missions with Tony Todd ! Was a real treat to hear my favorite klingon back in action again after so long.
Top notch voice acting in this mission once again.

Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

Give him a cookie for me, yo.
It's really a great map. I even stood there a while just looking around.
P.S. someone should give your profile the proper title.
Ask the forum manager to give you a "Cryptic Developer" tag. Great job on the map.

Very impressive, probably the best I have seen this graphics engine produce. Quality work all the way around.
Thanks.
