A full week of severe rubberbanding

Tracert looks bad and so does the pathping, nettest is only good for timing out and ipconfig does nothing. My windows troubleshooter is saying the patchserver's port 80 is the problem, is there a way I can correct this from my end?

    I've never received anything resembling a helpful answer here, is there anyone who can help me? I go through Comcast. My wife's laptop doesn't get any rubberbanding even though we're on the same wifi.

    I've reset everything a minimum of twice a day for the last 7 days, nothing is helping, only STO is having this problem but I'm sure it's still my fault somehow(according to the hardcore fanboys at least)

    Patching port 80 you say. I'm shooting in the dark here but with the launcher did you change it from patch on the fly to fully patch the game?

    Only immediate thing I can think of is port forwarding but I could not give details.

    Well since i'm in Ogden Utah with Comcast as well maybe I could give some insight. I'd suggest you repeat the tests especially on the wife's computer at the same time you do your test and see the difference between them. Your tests show hop 2, 3 and 12 are terrible. Request timeout on hop 13 is fine as it's just ignoring ping requests. That's the tracert test which btw is next to useless and should be ignored so moving on. The pathping is 300 seconds and is a much better test and similar to winmtr. Let's compare results a bit vs mine as follows.

    Note how good mine looks vs yours. I do have 1 extra hop as I believe i'm routed to Sandy UT before hitting Denver Co. But i'm not positive about that. Note that the pathping since it's a long test it shows a more accurate representation of your connection. You see that the 1st hop to your Modem is terrible and that it continues from there. Which is normal for a wifi connection that's not working very well. It has nothing to do with Cryptic servers. It's your specific computer and or modem that is having issues. If your wife isn't having the issues and you also did these tests on her comp when you did yours and only you have this issue then it's your comp.

    I'd first try using that problematical comp wired and see if the issue goes away. If it does then it's time to figure out why the wifi on your comp is messed up. I know for me I had to download a driver from the actual maker of the chip and not Realtek or whatever my wifi brand was. On some of my comps there's just 1 wifi setting that needs to be changed that fixes it. I just try them all one by one. Killer nics are horrible as are some other brands. Do as I said initially as in try wired then go from there. BTW download and run Winmtr it's preferable to pathping as below results. And I ran this for just under 15 minutes. I often run it overnite to find issues.
