Continual crashes

Ever since Friday's patch my Toshiba laptop ( Satellite C75D-B7215) crashes after a few minutes even after I force verified my files and limited the APU/CPU usage To lower the fans in options. Each time I had to remove the battery and put it in again.

Please don't tell me I have to reinstall the game. I have a few alts who need some of the Phoenix Box Goodies!

    I've been having problems myself. STO used to always work just fine for me then it started to crash on most ground missions giving me blue screen of death. I can play space missions fine but ground will crash after a bit. Strange though that the winter event never crashed
