    God damn you Cryptic! I read the post 3 times looking for a start date and didn't see any. So I bought a 4 pack and opened 1. No lobi or etc. Then I see here "dates added"! And it's days away! So give me my 1000 Zen back and take these 3 packs back! :#

    Welcome new player! Old-timers would know to wait for the dates to be added, but it's understandable that someone who just started playing would make this mistake. STO vets also know that the special versions of the packs say "promotion" so would not have opened them after buying.

    (Sorry, the Winter cold causes condescension ;) )

    After the Black Friday debacle I would wait until the day after the date in the announcement and buying it before the end date.

    You wouldn't have to wait that long. Unlike the points, as soon as you see the packs reflecting the bonus ship in-game it's safe to buy them. The points issue happened because they didn't set the bonus up properly outside of the game itself, in-game it's easy to see exactly what is on offer so if it doesn't mention the promo and doesn't have an icon just don't buy it.

    Even if he stops payment to get back at STO he can basically kiss playing this game goodbye as that would result in a ban.

    The R&D Packs will say Promotion! on them if they were part of this Promotion. Did you look to see if it said absolutely ANYTHING about the Promotion in the C-Store description before you jumped right in and bought them?

    LMAO I love how this is going to hit the hoarders in the wallet. All those hoarded boxes from before with the TOS connie going for insane prices are now worthless. Yup that's right folks those boxes will not grant the ships anymore LMAO! Read the note. LOL Love it!

    Nope.
    Packs purchased during the event, but opened after the event ends, will still benefit from this promotion’s bonus rewards.

    Old R&D "promotion" packs can still give you a Connie if the RNG gods love you. These packs can still give you the ship of your choice even if you don't open them until 2019. Old ship boxes from winning the lottery still work.

    What is true is that the Annorax and Connie will drop from the current 1 - 2 billion EC to something less insane like 500-750 million.

    Assuming people still have the boxes that say Promotion! from the TOS ship, those should still grant the ships if the pack does drop the ship.

    For someone who has the Dali Lama in their avatar he certainly is a jerk.

    When the announcement was first put up it had no dates, at that point the player bought the packs. Albiet too quick with assumptions for someone of his tenure.

    While this cheapens the Connie somewhat, I believe that they still will be quite Rare* so the price will still be high and all the previous boxes will still be worth it.

    These won't hit the exchange, just like last time.

    *based on awful RnG rate of Phoenix boxes.

    No they will not after the 8th READ THE NOTE at the bottom/
